I went to see Sass at the Strand in Redondo Beach California in 93'. It was right after the Racine album. She was wonderful on stage, we loved her. Such a strong voice and so sexy!

Sass killed it. Sass had the late Jeff Healey and Steve Salas backing her up, that was awesome. This a benefit concert instead of what was put out by "We Are Together At Home": Some artist on that didn't even perform when they were hyped to be there. Thanks for sharing

Be curious to know who's in the band. The dark haired guitarist with the big sunglasses is trying hard to be Stevie Salas and not quite getting there. And the drummer is not Brian Tichy, either, though he wishes he was. Nice to see the late great Jeff Healey up there rockin'. Sass is in great voice here as usual.

Oh I think he managed the Stevie Salas pretty good

@@tonykennedy8483 I could be wrong. He's certainly playing Stevie's guitar. So maybe it actually IS Stevie himself after all. Which is doubtless what you meant by your comment? ☺ This video must be from the 90s when Stevie was still in Sass's band. Considering Jeff Healy is still alive here, that would make sense. Stevie would have been much younger here, too, obviously if this was from the Rats tour. Considering he produced Rats and co-wrote every song on Rats with Sass, I'd think she'd introduce him or give him a bit more recognition. Not like he's exactly a nobody. So then if that IS Stevie Salas himself, that might even actually be Brian Tichy on drums, since he played drums on Rats and the subsequent tour. The short bleach blonde hair here is throwing me off a little but since Brian also recorded and toured with Stevie Salas Color Code, I think it would be safe to conclude that's probably Brian behind the drums. So I was a little slow on the uptake here. Sorry about that.

@@toddvandell85 it's Steve, she says his name at 25 seconds in

@@tonykennedy8483 I paid more attention this time right at the beginning. She did say "Stevie" and either I totally missed it the first or second time around or I thought she said "Easy" as short hand for "High Road Easy" being the first song in the set. Thanks for pointing that out. Not sure how I missed it. And for some reason I guess I just assumed Stevie woulda been shredding that lead guitar part on "You Don't Have to Remind Me" too. They were dating back then. I got the feeling, listening to the lyrics on Rats, that they'd both gotten themselves wrapped up into some really nasty drug shit together. (Heroin seemed the most likely demon to me.) Thankfully she didn't destroy her voice in the process. Thankfully neither of them died in the process, either, if I'm being honest.
