Hi guys! I know what some of you are probably thinking (Not another cookie house video...) But let me explain. I was not prepared for a holiday video when my neighbor, who knows I make craft videos, asked me if I'd decorate this gingerbread house for her. So I agreed. I was not satisfied with last year's gingerbread house video. The lighting was bad, the camera angles were bad, etc. Anyway, there are so many different gingerbread houses to choose from, they might just become a yearly thing. Don't worry, my next video might be something basic like a gift haul with gift wrapping (I hope my friends don't watch it) or perhaps an ornament haul and decorating my mini tree (I have to see what I have in storage, since I have been too lazy to decorate for the last 10 years :D). Haha. Thanks. I sent photos to my neighbor (before I finished the video ending) pointing out my disappointment with all the flaws. She agrees with you and is quite happy with the end product. I just see two blaring mistakes I'm not happy with, but I have to cut myself some slack because it is not easy to decorate a gingerbread house with a camera between me and the house. Aw, so cute! Tell her I said thanks. I guess I'm just too critical of my videos. I liked how the house came out in that video, but I didn't like how I was facing the camera instead of here where the camera is facing the house. I prefer filming from the viewer perspective, so it appears you are doing the decorating And I also added side lamps since then so that the lighting is better. Thanks, though. I didn't do anything to the tree. I actually bought it for my harvest time fairy garden video (two videos back), but didn't end up using it in the fairy garden. I thought I'd bring it out for this video to make it useful. My neighbor loves the gingerbread house. She just came by to pick it up and felt guilty taking it. :D

Its obvious from your previous eating and crafting videos that you're a perfectionist and would like to carry out each step in a perfect way for the perfect result but it really doesn't matter whether you were hanging upside down from the ceiling while decorating it or doing it with your feet while knitting a sweater with your hands, the outcome is always super awesome. You make it seem so easy but in actuality, its not. Your a master at baking and frosting and if you ever decide to start out any classes, count me in. And whats with all the holiday season and festivities, shops are full of so many amazing stuff that its a challenge for my will power to do the right thing and buy my friends proper gifts instead of returning home with bags full of gifts to moi. Need to work on that :D

I think you did a wonderful job on this gingerbread house! I dare say most of us watching wouldn't have done as good lol. Since you don't put up a tree, I have a suggestion. Why not decorate a wreath for your door? If you buy a fresh one you can just toss it in the bin when Christmas is over. If you buy a plastic one, you can keep it and hang it out next year. I am listening to the audio book „We. A manifesto for women everywhere“ by Gillian Anderson. It is a book about trying not to held oneself to crazy arse standards and not to criticize oneself all the time. Its aim is to help to achieve a more positive mindset and to avoid telling oneself that one is not enough or even worse, because those negative words can harm ones soul. I am not stating that u r in need of anything. Just wanted to share the recommendation :)

The house is edible (you can eat it), but I never do. I usually sit it out for a couple of weeks for decoration, so then it is covered with dust and germs and too dirty to eat.

get a 15$ fake tree from dollar general and stock up on ornaments there or you could even make them then when its time to put away just put it away in a vacuum cleaner box or something I got a box free from foodmart because i bought the last pumpkin so there is really no excuse not to have a tree because "its a hassle" its only a hassle if you bite off more then you can chew but a little artificial tree is allot of fun

you should've put the frosting on the candies and then stuck them in the house that way it wouldnt look so bulky and like the frosting is oozing everywhere :p
