It's unfortunate the sat 2-1 control had the sensor glued to the bottom housing acting as a thermo couple to the plastic rather than sensing air temp.I mentioned this to temperzone

Remote sensors are and always have been available. The on board sensor if positioned correctly doesn't act as a thermocouple. However if it is of concern use the remote sensor in the return air duct.

Hi can you update the video to show the latest control panel? My air conditioner was installed in Oct 2017. I cannot set the timer. I have followed the instruction in the booklet but it is just not working. There is no cancel button on my panel. I did manage to get it to come on once but I set it for 5:50am and it came on at 0130. ( yes the time is correct)

Sorry for late reply, hopefully you have solved your problem. It could be you have a later SAT-3 controller. Have you talked to our technical support team on 09 279 5250? With either thermostat SAT-2.1 or 3 we could talk you through the issue.

Can you update this video for winter setting when outdoor temp is 5 degrees and the deice function is operating in startup as mine shows some strange temp setting starting at 5 deg and going to 35 deg. No heating while this is happening is it an error

Rob Wragg there is no specific setting for winter you set it for whatever temperature you prefer. Usually between 18 and 22 for most people. Setting of the controller is covered in the video. If you have what appears to be faulty controller then call the tech support team on 0800 warranty (in NZ)

Rob Wragg also be aware that there is no heating when in de-ice that is normal.

Hi Tony Got the service tech to look at unit he disconnected the return air sensor said that it was probly not in the correct position now the sat controller will do all the sensing Is this what would cause the problem i was having.

If the sensor was connected to the wrong terminals then it could certainly be your problem. If the sensor was in the wrong location it could be a contributing factor but not likely the cause. With the sensor disconnected is the unit now operating normally? Make sure the on board sensor is slightly protruding and not touching the wall plaque body.
