14:37 Waittt isn't the slope rise/rise, we have a -2/3 slope. move downwards two points from the y intercept, we arrive at the (0,0) then move rightwards on the x coordinate 3 points, finally connect (3,0) and (0,2) and draw a line. We'll still get a falling slope(negative), Isn't that how we do slopes? The instructor has drawn the slope of m = -3/2, technically 3/-2. move two points towards the left (-2), move 3 points upwards till you reach the slope(+3) thus m = 3/-2 = -3/2. Nevertheless, you're doing a wonderful job. I'd recommend adding an affordable upsell, how about an additional course for those aiming 800 or maybe a book as well 📚 I'd personally buy one.

You're correct. We accidentally mixed up the rise and the run. (Unfortunately, even the most experienced of us will eventually make a careless mistake at some point!) Thanks for pointing this out. We've pinned your comment, & we'll add a note to the video description.

@@UniquePrep can u pls show a comparison of chapters between actual syllabus and the syllabus covered by u?
@UniquePrep2 жыл бұрын
@@sarthakkasera6587 Hi. Not sure what you mean by “actual syllabus.” We named many of our sections (and videos) so that they’d be similar or, in some cases, identical to the topics as they are named in College Board’s materials and on Khan Academy. For instance, our section 8 is called “Graphing Linear Equations,” which is exactly what the corresponding topic is called on Khan.

@@Rdhkwh We’re still slightly confused about what you’re asking, but here goes: If you’re asking about this particular video-Systems of Linear Inequalities-and whether it teaches you everything you need to know about how this concept is tested on the SAT, the answer is _mostly_ yes. Our videos are extremely thorough (some students occasionally feel they’re _too_ thorough!), as we strive to make sure students know everything they need to know, from the ground up, about the concepts that appear on the test. Having said that _no video/manual_ can possibly account for every single little variation in the way College Board can test a particular concept. But that is why, after completing a lesson, all students follow that up with consistent and copious practice on high quality and, if possible, official practice questions and tests. If you’re asking about the _entire_ math playlist, well, our answer is pretty much the same as above.

Can I use this for the digital SAT
@UniquePrep5 ай бұрын
Absolutely. The math concepts tested on the DSAT are nearly identical to those tested on the previous (paper) version, and they're _mostly_ tested in the same ways. One _huge_ difference, however, is the addition of the Desmos calculator. We strongly suggest that, in addition to learning and mastering the concepts, students familiarize themselves with Desmos's capabilities, and then practice enough to know when to use which tool (eg, Desmos vs a more "conventional" approach). We plan to create and upload videos regarding the various ways students can use Desmos, but we don't have a timeline on those quite yet.

I wanted to ask that do I need to learn how to draw graphs for systems of equations and inequalities even tho I can graph them with desmos on the Dsat
@UniquePrep Жыл бұрын
If you’re proficient with graphing and analyzing functions using Desmos, then yes, in many/most cases, you won’t need to draw the graphs manually. Having said that, it would still be wise to know the basics of sketching graphs manually (with pencil and scratch paper).

Hi I’ve just started watching your videos and you’ve helped me a lot. But I’ve still been struggling on all of the concepts that involve word problems. Do you have any tips? I’m taking my sat in august and I’m trying for 700+
@UniquePrep Жыл бұрын
Hi, John. Without more information, we can’t provide much specific help, especially not here in KZbin comments. Often, when our students struggle with word questions (or “problems,” as people like to call them…we don’t love that description), it’s because they’re not laying the appropriate groundwork before trying to attack the question. That groundwork includes the following: 1) Read through the entire question before doing anything. 2) Identify the underlying concept(s) being tested. For instance, is it a quadratics question? Or an exponential functions question? Is it testing systems of linear equations? Or percents? Doing this will help your brain start to gather the information relevant to solving the question, that info coming from what you’ve learned in school and/or test prep. 3) Identify what you’re given and what you need, and start to think about some of the steps that might get you from one to the other. 4) Start to attack the question one piece or phrase at a time. Don’t do too much at once. See the question as a series of smaller, more digestible steps (often those steps will end at periods, commas, or the word “and”) that can be solved and combined/integrated to advance toward what you need to find If you have any specific examples of questions that have given you trouble, we’d be happy to look at them if we have time.

@UniquePrep2 жыл бұрын
Sections 1-7 are given only to students enrolled in our test prep programs. Other than section 7-which runs through some basic info (for most students, anyway) about solving and manipulating equations/expressions-the first sections don’t contain much in the way of “concepts.” Rather, they cover some broad strategies as well as some info about the student-produced response (grid-in) questions, calculator use, and so on.
