problem 16 you are really confusing. It's is very simple: three cases, a=2, a=4 or a=16. For x =2 then b = 16, (16/4= 4 and 2*4=16) . For a=4 then b= 8 (8/4 = 2 and 4^2=16) and finally for a=16 then b=4 (4/4 =1 and 16^1 = 16). So b can be 16, 8 or 4

On 7… once you get to a^2 -b^2 =16, Wouldn’t that be 5 and 3? 5^2 -3^2 = 16 And 5-3=2.

Hello, on 9:44 you factored a squared- b squared into (A+B)(A-B)=16, could you please walk me through how you did that? Thanks alot 😄

so basically we have something called difference of squares when you factorize it you will have the same base but one in positive and the other in negative and in the question they already told us that a plus b is 2 so he replaced it and you can divide by two and then it'll be 16 divided by 2 which is 8 i hope this is clear

For 14, why wouldn't 2/2=1?

you can’t cancel the 2s because they are being raised to different powers - if they were being multiplied by something then you could cancel them
