ਰਸੀਦ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਵਲੀ ਸਤਿੰਦਰ ਸਰਤਾਜ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਸੂਫੀ ਗਾਇਕ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਅਤਿਕਥਨੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਰਸੀਦ ਗੀਤ ਚ ਵਰਤੀ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਵਲੀ ਜਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਅਰਬੀ ਫਾਰਸੀ ਮੂਲ ਤੋਂ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਦੇ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਫਾਰਸੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਚੋਂ ਲਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ , ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਦਾ ਕਿ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਫਾਰਸੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਹੈ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵੀ ਫਾਰਸੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਗੀਤ ਦੀ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਵਲੀ ਫਾਰਸੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਤੋਂ ਲਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਔਖੀ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਵਲੀ ਦੇ ਅਰਥ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਨਜਰ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹਾਂਗਾ। ਬੇਕਰਾਰੀ - ਬੇਚੈਨੀ ਦੀ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਇਤਮਿਨਾਨ - ਟਿਕਾਅ , ਤਸੱਲੀ, ਸਬਰ ਫ਼ਿਦਾ - ਮੋਹਿਤ ਨਿਸਾਰ - ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਰਸੀਦ- ਪਰਚੀ, ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਹੋਏ ( ਫਾ॰ ਕਿ॰) ਈਦ- ਖੁਸ਼ੀ, ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਸ਼ਦੀਦ- ਸ਼ਿੱਦਤ ਵਾਲਾ, ਪੱਕਾ ਲੁਤਫ਼ - ਮਜ਼ਾ, ਅਨੰਦ ਨਜ਼ਮ - ਕਵਿਤਾ ਮਹਿਰਮ - ਯਾਰ, ਪੱਕਾ ਦੋਸਤ ਗਮਜਦਾ- ਗਮ( ਫਿਕਰ, ਚਿੰਤਾ, ਦੁੱਖ) ਜਦਾ (ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ, ਚੋਟ, ਸੱਟ) ਗਮ ਦਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਦਿਲ ਫ਼ਿਗਾਰੀਆਂ- ਫ਼ਿਗਾਰ- ਘਾਇਲ ਦਿਲਬਰ- ਦਿਲ ( ਬੁਰਦਨ) ਲੈ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਜ਼ੂਰ- ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਾਨ, ਹਜ਼ਰਤ ਨੂਰ- ਚਾਨਣ, ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਹਿਜਰ - ਵਿਛੋੜਾ, ਵਿਯੋਗ ਵਿਸਾਲ, ਵਸਲ- ਮੇਲ , ਮਿਲਾਪ , ਸੰਜੋਗ ਕਮਾਲ- ਕਰਾਮਾਤ, ਪੂਰਨਤਾ, ਮੁਹਾਰਤ, ਖ਼ੂਬੀ ਜਮਾਲ- ਹੁਸਨ, ਸੁਹੱਪਣ, ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਦ ਰਸ਼ਕ- ਕਿਸੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਸਾਰਥਿਕ ਇੱਛਾ, ਉਸਾਰੂ ਰੀਸ ਮਿਸਾਲ- ਉਦਾਹਰਨ, ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਂਤ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਸਾਹ ਆਏ ਤੇ ਰਸੀਦ ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਇੱਕ ਅਰਥ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਨੇ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਕਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਵੀ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਏ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਸੀਦ ( ਸਬੂਤ ਦੀ ਪਰਚੀ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ) ਫਾਰਸੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਿਆ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਰਸੀਦ ਦੇ ਅਰਥ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ , ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਹ ਅਰਥ ਵੀ ਬਣਦੇ ਨੇ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਚੋਂ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ( ਲੱਖ ਸਾਹਾਂ ਚੋਂ) ਵਿਰੋਧਾਭਾਸ ਅਲੰਕਾਰ- ਇਹ ਲੁਤਫ਼ ਮੁਹੱਬਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਨੇ , ਜਦੋਂ ਦਰਦ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਹੱਸੀਏ ਜੀ। (ਦਰਦ ਹੋਣ ਤੇ ਭਲਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਹੱਸ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?) ਅਨੁਪ੍ਰਾਸ ਅਲੰਕਾਰ ਜਾਂ ਤਾ ਕੱਖ ਬਣਜਾ ਜਾਂ ਕਮਾਲ ਬਣ ਜਾ ਕੱਖ- ਕਮਾਲ
