*Jung & Naiv meets Spanish satire from Revista Mongolia* What's going on in Spain? What's this European Union about? Should I care about the upcoming elections? Who is this god we're talking to? Why does he speak such a weird language? Why are, in politcs, emotions more important than rationality? Why does Spain still have something like a king and a monarchy? Isn't that weird? *Episode 161 with the wonderful Eduardo Galan.* Watch ALL episodes from our trip through Europe here --> jungnaiveurope.tumblr.com/

Having a monarchy in the 21th century is weird (same in England, but I'm not the one for that question to be asked). However, I can tell you many people don't want a king here in Spain -including myself- because it's extremely irrational to be represented by someone that hasn't been elected by the people living in a country, and not only I didn't have the chance to choose Juan Carlos I, but neither did my parents and my grandparents. I think we Spanish are too submissive towards power (both political and financial) and maybe this is due to the fact that Spanish people were highly repressed during Franco's dictatorship, which is still relatively recent in time and in many people's heads. But most importantly, and what I consider the root of all our problems, are the low levels of education. Our Government invests too little in education and you can add the fact that many people (old and young) don't see the point in specializing and getting a proper education. If our education rates were higher, people would be harder to cheat by politicians, bankers and huge companies, who, precisely want us to be dumb. That's the only formula our Govern knows: making us dumb and repressing us with fear. There are so many questions to talk about regarding the financial crisis in Spain, that we cannot discuss them via KZbin, but thanks a lot for approaching the topic. PS. Eduardo's accent is funny for me too. He should improve it, haha. Cheers!

We did. The constitution which was overwhelmingly approved by the Spaniards indicated that "Spain was a parlamentarian monarchy". We didn't vote in 1935 when Republicans decided to promulgate a regimen change without asking after hundreds of years of monarchy. It didn't matter the king had left or they had the Republic in their principles, they simply didn't ask...

I don't know/care about 1935 I am talking about today , They should ask us now 'cause we are a different Society. Are they afraid of our decision? Are they real democrats? In my humble opinion they aren't

Hallo, heute habe ich eine andere Meinung über die ausgewählte Sprache. Ich habe dieses Interview so genossen, dass es mir jetzt egal ist, ob der Interviewpartner gutes Englisch hat oder nicht. Vielen Dank
