Satisfactory - Factory Tour (Ongoing Projects)

I have long awaited to bring you a video from Satisfactory, currently there is a LONG list of things to do, but we have a factory tour going on in todays video, I will someday bring you a build video when the next major update comes out.

I really enjoyed seeing your work in progress. I'm a newer player, so I was able to pick up some good tips. And it was good to see someone who hasn't spent 8k hours building some mega factory. I think I am better off doing what you have done - break up production into several smaller buildings. I think that will keep me from getting overwhelmed. And good tip to just leave the game running to build up resources. I like that. Thanks for posting!

I started out with several little buildings that went vertical with different levels ultimately coming to one final product. The biggest resource I saw that was needed, were screws. You could never have enough screws for the life of you. The same goes with Coal Power, Coal is a hard resource to find and its never just down the road.

I really like your progress so far. Your save is a like like my current save. I have a lot of hours but quite a few of them are either me sitting idle while items produce or it’s me setting up infrastructure. You have to set up infrastructure earlier in the game than you think. I like your style too. You’re taking advantage of all the nodes in the grass fields but have smaller buildings scattered about, bringing all the resources to one giant building

Thank you, I used to have several smaller buildings, more then what is shown in the video. But I tore it all down to make way for the giant ingot production building currently in construction. But even then I wonder now, is it really big enough? A Looming feeling I am just getting with all my builds now. I should have another Video out with a build or something for satisfactory by Mid-September, between full-time work and school, Its a rough life to record.

@@Atarika This is the first video of yours I’ve seen, it just popped up. How far have you explored? I saw you went all the way down to oil but it looked like you hadn’t tapped into it yet, but you do have coal going. I haven’t quite unlocked oil yet but I’ve gotten the smart plating phase completed, and like you, I’m at a part in the game where you’re rebuilding what you just tore down. How far out do you have you tractors going, and how many iron and coal ingots do you have coming in? I want to build a giant factory up along the cliff where the 4 impure iron nodes are, I’ve already got plans for a tractor/truck hub and it’s in the works, and I want my factory to be pretty big. It’ll be producing modular frames, rotors, and reinforced iron plates. Just don’t know how much iron I should be bringing in. I know there’s the satisfactory calculator, but I’m curious to what your inputs are since you’re building on a larger scale around the same area as me

So the oil is over in what the game has mapped out as the "blue crater". There are four oil reservoirs over in the blue crater, I use two of them, one impure and one normal. There are two normal, one pure, and one impure. Since the recording of this video a lot has changed. Satisfactory is all about building a huge factory that you feel like should be as big as whatever, of course I realized that space saving was a waste and that I wanted to have a mega factory for every single resource. One large draw back to mega factories is the production of power, My largest power station is 18 coal generators, which each one produces 75mw. All stations together create 2400mw. If I utilize my fuel/oil production system, all buildings seen on the tour, my power reserves activate, so its important to go for nuclear power and just come back later to upgrade things. Now I have several projects going on and a limit amount of resources so I almost have to just go and build little buildings to keep the supply up.

@@Atarika nice dude, i got coal power going at the lake down the hill just beyond the grasslands where the 4 nodes are. I'm looking to explore down into that area, but man I don't want to use tractors for all my transport. as of right now though i really don't have a choice, but transport to the grasslands from the blue crater isn't exactly difficult. just a long drive

Its a really long drive especially with tractors only moving at 26mph or km. I got some more content in the works, with a video sitting with my editor now.
