I am a nurse and a sweet little old lady came to ER the other day and I had to trim her nails. I used you technique and wished I had the cuticle tool and cuticle treatment . She asked how often she needs to come in for me to trim her nails. I laughed and said. I don’t take appointment. I just care for my patients. Now I’m the praying nail nurse

I'm a huge fan! I was a nurse many years ago and when my kids (finally!!) left home, I decided to retrain as a nail tech. Best decision I ever made! I own a mobile full service nail salon near Toronto Canada and provide a much needed service to clients over the age of 65 in the comfort of their own homes and care facilities. I've learned soooo much from your videos. I binge watch regularly. My husband even watches with me and often exclaims," That's what you do??!!" Lol Yep, and I love it!!

夏美여름 Hello! I am also a manicurist! I love watching SUPER seasoned professionals for techniques, but this is a simple question I’d love to answer! An ingrown toe is when your toe naturally grows at an angle that pushes and cuts into your skin, causing irritation, blisters, and even bleeding from open wounds! BUT an impacted toe is when you toenail catches so much debris from clothing lint, dead skin, and everyday pollution/dirt that it builds up pressure and causes serious discomfort! Both techniques, however, can be corrected with proper trimming and cleansing the toe nail, yet professionally help is preferred since another trained person can be face to face with your issue! For clarification sake, an ingrown toe can ALSO be impacted! 😭

I love your videos so much! You’re so sweet to every client. The last time I got a manicure I got yelled at. I tend to make my hand stiff without even realizing it and instead of just asking me to relax my hand, the nail tech said “Are you trying to piss me off?” I was so upset and shocked and never went back. That was two years ago. Knowing how to preform a service is great but knowing how to treat a customer is equally as important! Hopefully soon I can save my money and buy one of your nail kits!

Why is it that nail salons now don’t really clean your toenails nor do they hardly pushback cuticles. It’s all about cutting cuticles. I don’t go but maybe once every year because I don’t see the industry as being well regulated and I don’t want to get a horrible fungus. I never use to have dead skin around my toes until I went to a nail salon the first time and they cut my cuticles. If I do go I have to tell them do not cut my cuticles. Only trim if I have skin torn etc. I think they cut them so they can put nail polish on easier plus it takes less time they pushing and cleaning so they can get the next person in. What do you think? You are obviously a professional and know your stuff.
