also difficult to get dirt out otherwise, its okay when quickly dried off, but the only way I was able to clean my 30+ year old saddle for resale.

It’s oil, it keeps leather conditioned and kind of makes a barrier to keep dirt from getting in the pores.
@suzekeemink98623 жыл бұрын
I usually use a paint brush to apply leather oil instead of a sponge(what other people use) as it makes it easier to get in little corners etc. Usually it leaves quite a lot of oil so afterwards I take of the excess with an old rag
@kaiapolluaar46753 жыл бұрын

The water damages the leather and saddle are expensive, most western saddles are made out of leather but some are made out of mohair or synthetic cord
@sallybeavers85063 жыл бұрын
@@tia_leiigh oh okay I’m just wondering cause my friend had her jumping show canceled bc it was raining and I’ve ran in the rain before while it was pouring and I’ve ran in the winter while it was snowing our irises had their saddles on bc we’re about to get on but it can ruin the leather I see what you mean
