CNC anything in the woodworking world is NOT craftsmanship, it isn't talent, it isnt anything but computer skills, you keep to your computers and ill keep to my woodworking.

...and so the skill of the artisan woodworker becomes the digital domain of ones and zeros where computer geeks who don't know Titebond III from Elmer's White glue enter a few lines of code or digitize an image, push a few buttons and then sit back and watch technology do the rest. No thanks. It's pretty, but it got no soul.

True, but an experienced person will always be able to see the difference between machine generated and handmade, this, together with the fact that machines can never innovate, means that there will always be a market for the works of a true artist. Automation doesn't destroy the artist, it just makes nice things available to more people.

@@jonathanljohnson "Machines can never innovate." On the contrary my brother, AI has been innovating like a house on fire in pretty much all areas of human endeavor and it is getting warmed up, so-to-speak.
