Well Teena was actually sick and in the hospital! and Rick called her and she got ride to the studio, and sang her part of the song IN ONE TAKE! and she got back in the car went back to the hospital!... that just makes me realize just how incredible of a vocalist she is! That's what I'm really trippin off of. I'm 35 but I been listening to the oldies since forever. And there's still a lot of oldies that didn't get as much recognition as big hits like this one that I still need to discover. But smashing hits such as this one I would think would be known or at least heard before by anyone in there 20s and up. Anyone around my age who were raised by at least one of their parents should of heard songs like this being played. Lol I'm just saying. I find it hard to believe that this is his literal first time hearing this. But hey... to be fair everyone has different upbringings.
