The question: How to overcome shame, when faced with our limitations and imperfections? The answer: As Guru said, transform the Mind. My two cents: Shame is that which we hide, fearing that our weakness at inability to maintain a certain pattern of behavior, will be exploited. The how to overcome shames' power (fear): COURAGE!!! FIERCE COURAGE!!! Stop fearing how others see you. Then you can say your secret shadowy deeds openly, and they no longer bind you. This does not mean do anything you want to do as long as you are willing to openly proclaim it. It is the having the cake and eating it too syndrome. "I want to do something nasty, but I want to hang out with good, 'holy,' people." This is embracing falsity as the way to live, and will only grow fear and suffering. 1. Fear not how others see you. 2. Acknowledge the impulses that lead to those choices that bring, 'shame.' 3. Consult Wisdom to see what SHE says. 4. Live in freedom. All the best to you ALL!!!
