Joel Deffinately was a special teacher for God. I appreciate his teachings. They absolutely make so. much sense. Yet we are taught so differently. Yet as he says if we were doing it right. Why is the world such a mess. Well it does make sense. He just really explains a lot. Im just grateful for his books and tapes.

I know people won't believe me but this man came to me in what seem like a dream two years ago when I was very sick. I never even heard of him, I met a woman and told her about my dream, she then showed me the book the thunder of silence. I was shocked when she turned the book over on the back-side and I almost dropped in my track. The photo was the same man in my dream. In my dream I was in a storm, he took me in out of the storm. I have ben following his teaching ever since.

I have been reading one of his books, "Practicing the Presence", and I am impressed. My personal life experiences tell me that Joel S Goldsmith indeed was a special messenger. I have read also few other books and also attended an interesting seminar about his teachings by his family members in Riverside, California several years ago. Reading parts of the book helped me a lot when I needed moral and spiritual support when I went to my older sister In North Hollywood the day after her passing. I could take care of her funeral (she lived single) and was close to age 97. She had strong faith and was a generous sister but a little dogmatic. Her Minister friend of Grace Church nearby, where she was a member said to me she was a nice lady though a bit . stubborn. I know we are humans and imperfect. At her age still on a rainy day about 40 friends showed up that I think was impressive. I am being changed by reading this book seeing my own lacks and find inspirational truths about important universal truths to understand, and live by. Thank you Joel Goldsmith. May your soul and living members of your family be blessed.

The written word is fine, and also a representation of the individualized being that Mr. Goldsmith was, BUT.. the audio does so much more to convey importance with emphasis and emotion - so useful for a better understanding and practicing these truths into our minds to allow us to accept and receive the awesomeness we have been given with our life experience.

This man, Joel Goldsmith, appeared to me one night while I was sleeping. He was sitting at the edge of my bed. I believe this man's teaching is what would change this whole world. But his teachings require a complete denial of the self and many in "this world" do not want to do that. However, 10 righteous men can save a city.

+Peggy Kay Peggy, Thanks for sharing your story, i am unsure of the future but i do feel his teachings will play an important part in whatever is to emerge over the coming years, this time was always going to be a time of transition, there are now perhaps many more than we believe ready for even a small drop of this truth. Love this. I wonder what year it was? In the 60's and 70's we had the Vietnam war, before that, the Korean war. Nevertheless, I do see, especially now in this beginning of the 21st century, more interest in peace and developing cooperation. This in spite of being told and shown more divisiveness. Of course that is showing up as we go through the crucible of hate and hate-mongering that finally moves us toward Oneness. Thank you for giving us Joel's marvelous talks!

Ten years ago I printed a 26 page catalog and though there are 26 classes listed on each page the search is worth it. www.joelgoldsmith.com/ordercds.htn His granddaughter has also set up a concordance so if you have 8 or 10 consecutive words you can find which tape they were on. Hello. Thank you for this and all the other posts. I love Joel S. Goldsmith. In all the talks I have listened to, where he talks about prayer, he says there is no need praying for anyone, for any circumstance or event. God knows what you need before you do. Go to God for God. To be in his company, and that's all. No ulterior motive. But in answering, what can we do about animal suffering, his answer was to pray? Huh?

In this talk he doesn't explain prayer. It isn't asking for anything, It is affirming that all is perfect despite external appearances because god has made everything in perfection. So it is the visualization (though Joel wouldn't say that) and REALIZATION that all is well. To the extent that we can RELAX and know this truly within ourselves, we can have meaningful prayer. We neutralize evil within ourself--our thoughts and feelings about it. It is not done through effort or casting out but by RELAXING in truth.

Thanks for this audio but I cannot really find the "how to" for the practice of the Presence as opposed to someone like Brother Lawrence who explains it clearly. It seems like the titles of the audios are different from what they contain ... at least to me :/
