Let me guess not even a bare minimum effort to put timestamps in

Something I've wondered for years now is why they never program kettlebell snatches at the Games. They reuse the same movements year after year but they've never done kb snatches except at Regionals. Why? I always love watching people do them with good form and I love performing them as well.

I wonder how much film they have on the swim event, where Lazar lost his life by drowning? Doing CrossFit myself and watching the various final competitions, I know that the swim is dangerous because you have a group of people all desperately splashing around you. That closeness creates opportunities for someone to be hit in the back of the head and go under. I believe that Lazar was hit hard by someone and rendered unconscious in the water, which caused him to drown. If they filmed the whole swim, they will be able to review the tape and see him going under, after getting hit by someone. I doubt that it was intentional, because it is a wild scramble, but I suspect that the individual who hit him was aware that he hit someone, but he was caught up in the race and did not want to stop. It's kind of like a hit and run and is involuntary manslaughter. Let's see how good this investigation is. I believe that CrossFit is partially responsible because they did not secure the event enough. There should have been more separation between the swimmers. It's the same chaos every year and it was only a matter of time before tragedy struck. The organizers should also provide trained lifeguards who could monitor the race from small boats close by, so that if a contestant finds himself in trouble, he could be rescued. Lazar was a strong swimmer. The only other explanation is that he had a heart attack during the swim. Nevertheless, a spotter should have been close by to see him go under and take action.
@josephward60213 ай бұрын
You have no idea what you’re talking about, Lazar was alone in the water 50m from the finish line, he didn’t drown after being hit in the head, there was no scramble because the swim was after the run, so people entered the water one at a time as they finished the run, and as I said Lazar was 50m from the finish line and not in a scramble with anyone, please don’t dishonour his memory by making wild accusations and assumptions when you don’t even know what you’re talking about
@dessaint53413 ай бұрын
@@josephward6021 This was a theory advanced immediately after hearing of his drowning. Yes, the fact is that he drowned alone about 50 yards from finish line (land) and within sight of the 2 lifeguards and another spectator, who yelled at the lifeguards, seeing him go under. One of the lifeguards eventually worked his canoe close to where Lazar went under, but he soon left the spot, instead of diving in immediately and looking for a body. Gross negligence on his part, first for not observing Lazar's struggle in the water and second for not going over there and immediately diving in. Thise are the facts. The unprofessional lifeguard was hired by CrossFit. CrossFit is also responsible for structuring this event wrongly. The swim should come before the run, because of greater possibility of dehydration.
