He’s used his 5th amendment right and he’s technically a free man and can go wherever unless more evidence comes to light pointing him directly responsible for a crime. The police didn’t “mess up.” If you want someone to blame, blame Brian.

With Gabby missing and suspicious circumstances that would be enough to at least keep an eye on his whereabouts. In the meantime investigators are gathering evidence and putting a timeline together. It all takes some time. The one person who may know or who may be involved is him. He’s highly suspect. That is a good reason to have at least kept him on their radar.I think not keeping an eye on him was a mistake.

It's a no-brainer and how the cops cannot see this is beyond belief. Something very rotten is going on here and these so-called "officers" investigating this case are clearly either corrupt and complicit, or just completely negligent and incompetent. Either way, their careers should be terminated and they should all face criminal charges. This stinks and I think the rot runs deep.

Leaving a person on their own across the country or even murder is not an even trade for a couple of scratches or punches. This joker smiled when being told he was a victim of DV. If someone is unstable and needs help you have compassion and get them the right help. It's not like they just met in a bar, woke up in the morning and she was a psycho. It's Brian who's not playing with a full deck. She was looking to change her life cause she was lost and he joined her on this (dare I say "life changing trip") trip. Very sad.

@wheezly bee Unfortunately, unless someone reports the car as stolen, there is nothing that can be done. The Van was returned to the parents and as far as I understand it, it is in police possession, so there is no car theft to investigate; thus no arrest for car theft can be done. Gaby would have had to report it stolen. If you drove a friends car, under his name and under his insurance, if you got pulled over, as long as you showed you had a drivers license to operate the vehicle and specified that it was not your vehicle, if it does not return as stolen, they won't be arresting you. Police would then be citing you for whatever traffic violation you committed or let you off with a warning.
Seems like at the least the police could have charged him with vehicle theft. He was driving a van titled to Gabby....without Gabby. They would have had a face to face with him regardless.

Technically they can’t because she isn’t around to say whether he had consent to take it or not, he did have consent to drive it by her unfortunately which you could tell by bodycam footage from Utah she stated “I don’t usually drive the van”

What proof? Did Gabby call in the van as being stolen? He has been driving the van for months. Burden of proof is on the state. You do not have to prove you are innocent. Innocent until proven guilty.

So annoying they know more 🙄. It's stormed pretty bad here in Florida this last week the conditions in which he'd be living in for 4 days are nothing like what he was doing in the parks with Gabby. So many biting things here in all sizes and those trails all flooded and over grown. Hiking in waste high weeds that's also flooded with God knows what crawling on and biting you.. The water is not safe to drink. A parasite can take you out in just a couple of days. Why in the hell did his family wait so long? Sitting in your house watching these storms come in and seeing all the tree debris fall and the streets turn to rivers lightning crashing and power flickering...

Because she was vlogging their trip across the US on social media so there was already a fan group watching her channel and when she disappeared and stopped vlogging and her mother wanted to know where she is? and Brian wouldn't talk! - it blew up on social media, then on TV - also since Brian isn't telling her parents where she is , twists and turns and a possible murder mystery is playing out in real time - I think they were vey visible and people got to know them through their trip videos.

Stupid how he was not arrested when he came back without her. Common sense he killed her and his family is helping him to run from the law
