You got me thinking about the numeric shifter. I did change my 996 to the 997 shifter. Now I have a 2010 997.2. How is it more difficult to change to a numeric shifter compared to 996 to 997 upgrade that I did before?. Thanks in advance. Nice video!

Just upgrading the shifter shouldn’t be that more difficult, especially if you’ve already done it. I think you have to swap one of the OEM end links to Numeric’s shaft end at the bottom. If you were to also change out the cables, it’s way more involved. Did you see these two videos? One is the full install and the other is the first drive afterwards. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aH-miH-pjLSog68 kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYa3pqN9f8uLaMk

Hey! somehow i like the sound of your car, im interested in your exhaust set-up. do you mind telling me what you have? im a C2S '06 owner too, and just enjoyed a drive to Alice's restaurant yesterday, but definitely noticed my stock exhaust is too mellow. TIA

Hi there, if you have a ‘06 is that a 997.1 or 996? I ask because I think the engine and thus the sound is different. Regardless, I did the Fister mod, everything else is stock.
@edwinmj6535 ай бұрын
@@OCDHAUS Oh yeah its a 997.1 , Fister mod only? It Sounded like more than that on YT. You do get pops and bangs on downshifts right?

True, but in full disclosure, I have two mics setup when making these videos. One is mounted outside near the license plate and the other is inside on my seat belt. Not that this would contribute to what you’re hearing, but I do have stiffer motor and transmission mounts, in addition to Numeric short shifter with cables. These all contribute to the NVH experienced within the vehicle, in a good way, in my opinion. If you’re in the Bay Area and want to swap to hear for yourself, send me an email and we’ll hook up.

nice drive mate but you are shifting way too early ... why dont you go past 6k revs? thats where all the fun is..
@OCDHAUS6 ай бұрын
Huh, I have a hard time keeping it up that high in the revs when driving in the twisties. Although this wasn't my most aggressive driving, I don't think I would go that much higher in the revs because I don't think I'm gaining that much in torque. At least that's what I'm thinking. I must be on the conservative side...

@@OCDHAUS I have 997.1 C4S .. on the drive like yours it rarely sits below 4.5k revs. the only thing is you be using and 2nd and 3rd gear 90% of the time.. on the 4th you are in 100mph.. when conditions allow ofc. try it :)

I’ll have to give it a try, but I’m thinking cause you have a 4S you have more confidence pushing it around the corners. I haven’t come close to finding the limits of my S, so somewhat afraid of breaking the back end loose. It might be all in my head though. Thanks again for the tip though.
