I’m 57 and although I know who Milton Berle is, by the time I came around, he was relegated to doing cameos on CHiPS and the Love Boat to keep his SAG insurance. His relevance to entertainment ended before I was born and unlike legends like Lucille Ball, it didn’t translate to timeless comedy. Berle’s problem wasn’t fame being fickle. It’s about his talent being out of date.
