I never really had any gobots as a kid but as I ve been collecting I’ve gotten a few. I think they got a bad rap as a transformers knock off some of them are really cool

1 of the few times Robo Machines beat transformers......and yes im using the Robo Machine name because while i cant speak for other countries i DO KNOW that Bandai released these toys here in Ireland and also the uk as "Robo Machine" long before Tonka got the licience to release them as gobots so to me these toys will ALWAYS be "Robo Machine"

In vehicle mode, Buggy Man reminds me of one of my favorite Hanna-Barbera cartoons characters, Speed Buggy! Except he is blue unlike Speed Buggy being Orange. I have never seen this figure before this video. I agree with you, he is better than Beachcomber.

I myself prefer to think these toys in their original Japanese concept of being simple (yet good quality) puzzle toys. I don't think it was until Tonka got involved that they gained a back story & were given comedy names?
