I've said it before and I'll say it again. They 100% spike the RTP to some games especially after initial launch (and then maybe randomly sometimes) to hook players in with big wins, and then hotfix the games back to normal to get you to lose everything back and then some. It's a great technique that works well. I've had runs where for a few days I absolutely killed on a game, talking about 7-8-9 consecutive hugely profitable bonuses and then not one good win for ages. You could say this is variance but variance doesn't work like that. Having many crap bonuses and a few good ones is the norm. Getting A LOT of good bonuses in a row is statistically extremely rare yet it has happened to all of us and speaking from personal experience I can easily name several games where after launch I made a killing on for a few days and then never had a great bonus again on them ever. That cannot be coincidence or variance. Variance would be maybe 2-3 good bonuses not 7-8 in a row. It's by design to get you hooked and then lose much more back. So that's what happened with you and Sugar Rush for example.

I have also noticed a hot run can immediately drop dead the second you make a withdrawal (especially a big one). Could be coincidence but it's happened too many times for me to consider it bad luck

@@christiananderson8686 yep they have several techniques to get you hooked and give your winnings back. But for me the "hit a ton of good bonuses on some games" is really the most obvious one. Like take Dog House Megaways as an example soon after it came out I had a session where I won like 8 in a row, and most of them were double or more the price of the bonus. It was like an infinite money glitch - that shouldn't happen statistically speaking. I had it on that game, had it on Empty The Bank, had it on Legend of Loki and then haven't had a good bonus on these games since :D (and I have more examples like that but you get the picture).

@@kios05 yea of course. I actually tried in the past (before I quit, now I just watch bandit) to play more of the new games to see if I got bigger wins and then stop playing them when they go cold. It did sometimes give good results but they're smart and not doing this on all games all the time of course. Maybe they even have a random trigger for this when they see a player being active for days on end and they just activate a higher RTP for some games for like 24-48 hours and then take it away. I do honestly believe that because the way you go on winning runs sometimes is kind of ridiculous - it does feel like a switch is turned on and then off and while sometimes it may be variance, when you win huge on a game repeatedly on one particular day I do have to question it as we all do.

On the dead or wild feature that is the dead one. I was on 20p and i got 10 wilds and 27x and won £175 which was pretty good for a 20p bet. It was the 1st time me playing that game I never normally bet under £1 but with that game, you can hit it big with just a 20p bet so I just play it on 20p if I ever play that game. I have only ever had that one feature once and I was surprised on hitting the 27x.

They 100% made changes to Sugar Rush, I lost 1.6k in 6 hours playing only sugar rush on $20 bonus buys ($0.2 bet). And my best win was around 300x, usualy you always get at least a 500x if you play it that long, this was the worst session for me in 20 years of slotting on this low stake without any good wins.
