The New Orleans Saints QB position battle is starting to get very interesting. The Saints have their short term starter, but one young gunslinger is really making a name for himself. Archie manning is before my time but he was the first to put New Orleans on the map, but pre breeze my favorite Saint Qb was Aaron brooks. He always had solid numbers and he was the first Qb to win Saints a playoff game and he did it in his rookie season.

O line may not be as big of a worry since may have hit it big with Fuaga, Penning to be more comfortable in year 3, and Saldiveri should be a quality starter this season with quality depth behind them (Udoh, Lemieux, Patrick, Evans, Young, Haynesworth). At the very least Rattler is looking like our new version Chase Daniel and can handle being a quality career backup

@@captaindeluxe7328every team goes into the season with “may nots” even the Chiefs last year. Almost no team is ever perfect meanwhile others can’t live up to the hype. We do the best we can within our means. If you analyze the players mentioned above they are quality depth pieces. If Salvideri performs like the others shouldn’t then we’ll be a top 10 oline no problem. Frankly the Chiefs oline was flawed last season but performed well enough for a 🏆

@@user-ip8wu1ph2c so I like Herbert over Manning for 2 reasons. First when Herbert was the starting QB the 49ers was in our div with Joe Montana and then Steve young. Despite the saints winning 10-12 games they couldn't make the playoffs but 1 time. Manning never did get even close. Second Wilson . Wilson was good for 1 year the next year he lost his job then retired alcoholism is not a good place to be living in NO and that was his issue. Then I chose brooks because he won a lot of games with no receivers..our receivers were trash for alot of years out best receiver was 5 11 joe horn that's it...Devery Henderson was trash....fast as heck but back then couldnt catch a cold...they use to say about him ....until Payton came and taught him to catch...

Clearly before Brees it was Archie but that was forever ago. Aaron brooks is def number 3 cause there was clearly nobody else to step ahead. But the saints, “and let’s be real” has never really had any team much less QB play . And whoever said Hebert is stupid cause all he did was run backwards and get sacked for multiple yards at a time. Had more sack yards than total offense yards it seems . Saints has always been trash. I’m a New Orleans native so dnt bash me for being honest with my home team. I just thinks it’s sad that we dnt try harder for our program as other teams do. Carr is the worst mistake we’ve made and not just cause of horrible talent but because of the waste of money we gave him. Should’ve never got him or been focused on the now . Need to build regardless of Alvin Kamari’s patience. Not gonna win anyways if we have no balance for his running game

Rattler is still behind Heiner and has struggled with a few bright spots sprinkled in. He is not competing for the starting job. He is competing for the backup job. Which means he has to get time with the two’s. I know you have to create drama where there is non but hold your horses on the getting time with the one’s. Do I think he is the QB of the future probably however it’s shouldn’t just be handed to him because he has a bigger name than Heiner. Heiner worked with Gruden in the off season and is better than people realize.
