What I like most about Chance the Rapper's ghost character is that even though he wants them to skip him, he still participates. He knows the lyrics to the music, knows all the dance moves, and is able to rhyme when he tells his story. As a ghost, he cooperates with the other ghosts and knows all the ghost rules.

@benvoliothefirst3 жыл бұрын
He's.. got a successful rap career? Do you think a weekly comedy sketch show is a step up from that?
@anonaguy30083 жыл бұрын
1) he's already a successful musician making millions, 2) the highest paid featured players make between $300K-500K/year based on seniority etc., and 3) the SNL contract is incredibly abusive, including a potential 12 year commitment, multiple effectively mandatory movie deals where the actor gets a pittance per movie and granting NBC the right to refuse to allow the actor to do a movie for millions with someone else by paying the actor the same pittance. That's why you've generally never even heard of new cast members on SNL before they arrive on SNL. Anyone you've heard of would have too much to lose by signing one of those abusive contracts.
@stephieirene13 жыл бұрын
@@anonaguy3008 That was great information! Mikey Day, I had heard of him before, and can't figure out why he is doing the show.

@@stephieirene1 chances are you heard of him somewhere that he wasn't making anywhere near as much as SNL pays. I certainly had never heard of him before he got on the show and now I'm a fan of his. Chance the rapper is one of the most talented rappers rn. And he is also an amazing actor and he’s actually really good on SNL also. And he’s hella funny. So he could be a successful stand up comedian & actor & also on SNL every weekend

I’m loving the David Pumpkin style they used for this skit!

The "how I died" aspect is a bit like David S Pumpkins, but this is more of a successor to "Paul and Phil".

Stumbled upon this.. so much going on.. the skeleton, the owl who's as shocked as the others, the tombstones turning toward him when he stops, the clouds, and of Chance's rhythmic evasion and vagueness..and finally hilarious delivery of the story.. I've watched this so many times. Fantastic skit! Going to forward this to some people on Halloween!

Chance is a rare treat as he almost always delivers on every skit he does and even on the rare misses, he often is the highlight.
