This, plus most people buy a soda with their food and soda is sold at a massive markup. It costs around 10-20 cents for the cup, lid, straw, and soda and they charge like $2 for it. Not every person will buy a soda but enough people will that they more than make back any losses that they incur from a sale or coupon.

I would recommend Drew Gooden’s video about whether or not SNL has gotten more or less funny over the years. I really think that, like always, SNL just has hits and misses in the every episode. This good sketch isn’t so much a call back to how things used to be, but more so this is how things always are-some good sketches and some bad ones every week.

Here's how Arby's does it: The beef is sliced thinly enough to read a newspaper through (in fact, that's the actual test!). The roasts they're sliced from are ten pounds, and cost about 1000 dollars each (at least they did in 1997). The backine team member is instructed to drape the meat into the bottom of the bun. You only get 3 ounces of roast beef, but when it's sliced that thinly, it looks like a lot. Ntm, once the heat from the beef permeates the bun, and the sandwich is wrapped and placed on the warming slide, the sandwich you get is maybe one-third as tall as the sandwich advertised. And I worked there when they would run 5 For 5. Imagine the line in the drive thru, especially during Christmas shopping season, when everyone has been out shopping and no one wants to cook. And remember, any meat that comes off a cow is technically "beef", doesn't matter if it's tongue, ear, tail, or snout.
