"Don't change for anyone" is an old cliche thats a falsehood. Some people genuinely need to change, whether its personality or lifestyle. Change is good, You say "Don't change for anyone" what about changing for yourself? If Jim turned into James and was happy afterwords isn't that better than remaining annoyed by your appearance and never truly being yourself?

Not sure why everyone's saying this is "sweet". Jim the monster gets whitewashed and suddenly forgets his friend, not even going by the bar to say "hey, I'm okay after reconstructive surgery, but I won't be hanging out here anymore". Then after his friend spends ages looking for him and finds him, he talks the friend into having the same surgery so they can be seen in public together, then mocks the face he chose. Not a happy or sweet skit at all.
