@@Sashazur It’s called ‘aspirational advertising’ and you are absolutely correct. However I find this particular approach condescending, and it comes off tone-deaf to the times (which is the whole point of the sketch). Happy, attractive people in massive, brightly lit homes selling me stuff is fine, it’s these over-the-top adverts that I find ridiculous. What makes it worse is we get these shoved down our throats while trying to watch our favorite shows.. and many (not all) streaming services now have ads, too. I get they are not selling it to me per se, but the point still remains. P.S. I also despise the Peloton ads for the same reason. All of them.

Yeah car commercials like that never made sense to me. It would make more viable sense to have like the ad for the car wrapped and then go to the dealership before the new year. That way you can both be a part of the process and decide if you need to trade in a current vehicle or if new is really the best option.

Any car over 15 - 20k is stupid expensive to me. And before you assume, I (we, my girlfriend and I) could literally go out tomorrow and put down a few hundred K in cash on a stupid uber luxury car and still have most of my (our) net worth. One reason I (we) have that amount of money is I (we) don't waste it on material depreciating crap like cars and have always bought econo to mid tier level used. I'm still driving a used 2007 Honda Accord I got soon out of college; more than enough car than I or anyone could ever really need.

@@Sashazur so I guess I should say I didn't specifically deal with this type of situation. I dealt with people purchasing a vehicle and then come back a week later and say they found another vehicle that tows more or that it is too big for them. Had another buy one and then 3 days later say they didn't like one aspect about the car, which I went over them a thousand times because it was a certain detail that some people hated and I wanted to make sure they were ok with it.. they actually became so verbally aggressive (almost turned physical) that the cops had to come and they arrested him and got a no trespassing thing for him to never come back to the dealership. It was insane.. Oh and to add onto that, I was ALWAYS honest with my clients because I didn't want to have them come back with issues or to have my reputation tarnished with lies. Never been my thing. When I would come out with the "price" they would ask me if that was the best I could do. I would whisper for them to tell me they want a better price because my managers were watching. Don't believe them when they say they can't lower the price any more. ESPECIALLY on the "first pencil" as they call it

Am I the onky that thinks this 2019 cast was so talented. A very underrated group. All of them are really good individually and yet had great chemistry together. The cast favs and stand outs Kenan, Kate, Cecily, Aidy, Beck, Kyle, Mikey, Chris, Heidi, Melissa and even Pete. This became my favorite group. I was sad to see them get retired....well all except Kenan.
