Gardner is not a conventional beauty, but in many sketches (like this one) she exudes such an air of confidence, sophistication, and control that she instantly becomes the most appealing female in the room. If she ever decided to leave comedy, she would be devastating as an aristocrat, conniving politician, or other power broker.

@raychristie3499
@raychristie3499 4 жыл бұрын
@@Sashazur It’s called ‘aspirational advertising’ and you are absolutely correct. However I find this particular approach condescending, and it comes off tone-deaf to the times (which is the whole point of the sketch). Happy, attractive people in massive, brightly lit homes selling me stuff is fine, it’s these over-the-top adverts that I find ridiculous. What makes it worse is we get these shoved down our throats while trying to watch our favorite shows.. and many (not all) streaming services now have ads, too. I get they are not selling it to me per se, but the point still remains. P.S. I also despise the Peloton ads for the same reason. All of them.

The money ain’t gonna be worth nothing, diseases are creeping around, the media is pushing us toward civil war. Never mind prudence. I’m buying all kinds of cool stuff and provisions for the upcoming conflict. “Haven’t you always wanted a Lexus? What are you waiting for? Tomorrow’s not promised. @@joshuadixon9368 She really does come across as a real woman whose patience with her flailing husband is very close to the breaking point (there's some similarity there to her boxer's-girlfriend character, if you think about it). @@Sashazur so I guess I should say I didn't specifically deal with this type of situation. I dealt with people purchasing a vehicle and then come back a week later and say they found another vehicle that tows more or that it is too big for them. Had another buy one and then 3 days later say they didn't like one aspect about the car, which I went over them a thousand times because it was a certain detail that some people hated and I wanted to make sure they were ok with it.. they actually became so verbally aggressive (almost turned physical) that the cops had to come and they arrested him and got a no trespassing thing for him to never come back to the dealership. It was insane.. Oh and to add onto that, I was ALWAYS honest with my clients because I didn't want to have them come back with issues or to have my reputation tarnished with lies. Never been my thing. When I would come out with the "price" they would ask me if that was the best I could do. I would whisper for them to tell me they want a better price because my managers were watching. Don't believe them when they say they can't lower the price any more. The cast favs and stand outs Kenan, Kate, Cecily, Aidy, Beck, Kyle, Mikey, Chris, Heidi, Melissa and even Pete. This became my favorite group. I was sad to see them get retired....well all except Kenan.
