ABOUT SATURN AS A 'GRAHA' ('SHANI DEVA')
Astronomically, Saturn is the planet that is almost at the end of the solar system. Yes there are other planets that come beyond it but they're much further away in proportion to the inner planets one the other side of the asteroid belt and then the gas super giants that are Jupiter and Saturn.
In the solar system, Saturn actually plays a huge rule in protecting the Earth from vagrant asteroids that can smash into it and end all life. Saturn's gravitation is in many ways a protective shield for the inner solar system.
In 'Vedic' astrology, Saturn or 'Shani' is the planet of hard work, struggle, stamina, resilience, business and discipline.
Saturn can be a very restrictive planet as it teaches through difficulties and often gives the native many problems in the area of life represented by the house that Saturn sits in. This is why most people hope to have Saturn in a good placement and giving good results otherwise they fear bad things might happen to them. At the very least, with a tough Saturn placement, people expect a tough life.
See 'Shani' is the 'deva' of justice and order. That is why it is famously said "Saturn delays but never denies."
SATURN IN SEVENTH HOUSE:
Saturn's influence in the native's life, when he occupies the 7th house or the 'descendant' is actually quite dominant. As you would know, Saturn gets exalted in the sign of Libra and the seventh house corresponds to the natural energy of the sign of Libra. So Saturn here is powerfully placed no matter what the sign, 'nakshatra' or aspects.
However, Saturn makes an individual successful in this placement by forcing them quite often to working with people and getting along with connections and alliances that test their patience and abilities.
Ultimately, this is what helps the native succeed in a big way in life. Early on however, unlikely what one would believe about Saturn in the 7th house, this placement can be extra hard and taxing on the individual even compared to the Saturn in first house placement in some aspects.
Why is that?
Because Saturn in first house sort of gives you clarity at each step by forcing you to take up responsibilities that cannot be delegated or passed on. (Like the role of the sole breadwinner in a family) These individuals become tough but live in immense clarity about what they must do and a solid plan to execute the same.
In the case of Saturn in seventh house individuals however, quite often the individual his or herself no longer has a decisive say in their own life since close connections, alliances, commitments and relationships all need to be given higher priority or risk upsetting the status quo (quite of quid pro quo situations) of their life.
This can be both a blessing and a curse.
Saturn in seventh house individuals often are assets to communities and organizations or even families/groups of people/neighborhoods. However, the perceived responsibilities and duties (often quite tangible and binding duties) keep them from fully exploring their own autonomy over their life.

This is the most bang on explanation of saturn in the 7th. Im pisces asc with Saturn retro with jupiter retro in 7th house. I don't make any promises to anyone I know I can't keep, don't take loans of any kind either, I hate owing somebody something. Every relationship, including with parents haven't been good at all. I really don't want to be in a relationship with anyone because I am forced to be responsible for everything, when I need help even if I ask for it, they flat out deny me. Besides these there is the element of control, feel like I'm in jail and I've sometimes been denied even the most basic things even though it was my own money I would get it with. Thank you for sharing your light🙏 I have Saturn and Uranus in the 7th, both retro. Also, Pluto Ketu in the 6th both retro and rahu on the 12th as well. Life are though, and this journey is pretty lonely as i required to be most of the time alone, but somehow, i managed to come out to the other side alive (i guess thanks to Sun and Mars in 1st H that gave me the willpower and strength)All the misfortunes and lessons from all my teachers are there to be learnt and passed through. Very informative video. I've my saturn retrograde in 7th house of Sagittarius in the purva ashada nakshatra, mutually aspecting Venus in Gemini, in ardra. Seclusion, lack of relationships or rather accepting it has been a theme for 35 yrs of my existence, professionally grinding without a sense of respite, while experiencing few good money stints after a lot of hard work. I think we can agree to disagree here. 'Marriage' is indeed a 'contract' but that definition in no way diminishes the sanctity of the union. I'll tell you why: Every culture has the concept of wedding vows, promises and commitments to be made at the time of marriage. I remember the priest actually laid out vedic principles according to the smritis in my wedding ceremony.. detailing our duties as husband and wife. Furthermore.. you can't just choose to 'walk out' of this 'relationship' like you would if you weren't married. It doesn't matter even if it is consensul.. you have to go to court.. get a lawyer.. go through the legal process to dissolve it.. same way you would have when you got your marriage 'registered'. Hence a 'contract'.
