This was great. I have mars in Aries conjuct saturn (also conjunct mercury) so I have trouble dealing with self esteem, being to hard on myself or expressing myself in words. I have noticed that people with this placements want to be what they consider perfect but ends up hiding their true self and struggle because of that. Feelings of anger when others don’t see our worth etc or when we feel that nobody listens. Half of the time the anger can be irrelevant and come from nowhere but that is something I’m working on. Today's Mars and Saturn transit in my second house, I felt like I should quit my job. I thought that I can't continue this way anymore but then I thought about what to do if I quit. Staying is easier than quitting. Mars is my impulsiveness and Saturn was my reality check. Saturn won in the end.

I have the Saturn Mars Conjunction very tight (within 1 degree) in Aquarius 5H. What you said really resonates with me about being too focused on lack. I think that once I finally finish all my creative projects then I will be happy but you’re right. First of all I’ll probably never be done creating and second of all happiness is a state of mind not a state of being done with the to do list. Other people probably see me as an overachiever but I see myself as lazy. I also found it interesting that Corey is an astrologer with Saturn in Sagittarius. I find that a lot of Saturn in Sagittarius people don’t believe in astrology because Saturn restricts the amount of things that they believe in. Fascinating interview. For several years in a row, i had Saturn transit my ascendant in late degrees of Libra, then my Pluto/ Venus/ Saturn conjunction in Scorpio, then my Neptune/ sun/ Jupiter conjunction in Sagittarius.. All at the same Pluto was transiting conjunct my natal mercury in Capricorn.... darkest worst years of my life.. although I would happily take Saturn transits again in exchange for getting rid of a Pluto Transit. Way worse events in life from Pluto transits than from Saturn! Saturn just gives you hard lessons, makes you endure... But Pluto tears you down and kills you. Pluto destroys you so that you can be reborn into another form of yourself. And if your reborn that means you have to die! From what I can tell, every major terrible event in my life has been triggered by a Pluto Transit.( that includes one year that I lost 8 people in my family including three grandparents, two uncles and several cousins. They all died with in the same year.... and the Pluto Transit prior to that was when I contracted a fatal infection. Systemic necrosis.. how much more plutonic and scorpionic can you get? Bacteria that decays flesh of dead things?!. And it was so rare only one other person in the entire city I lived in had ever been diagnosed with it.) I'm glad my chart ruler is mars! I'm a fighter. Harder to kill people rules by mars.. lol we get our second wind as soon as we hit the ground and everyone else thinks the fight is over. We get up and keep on fighting! Pluto has transited every planet in my chart except for my moon and Mars. And it's just now getting outside of orb of my natal Mercury. Thank God! Hallelujah and many blessings to you! I would put myself in a mental hospital if Pluto ever hit my moon or Mars LOL. No freaking joke! It's no wonder people become murderers... Pluto Transit will do it!

What will happen if Mars and Saturn both are in Retrogation in the 11th house in Scorpio for a Capricorn Ascendent, Mars is placed in the degree of 10:24:22 Retro in the star of Anizham Pada 3 and Saturn placed in the degree of 20:27:35 Retro in the star of Thriketta pada 2 in the D1 chart and Mars is placed in Libra and Saturn is Placed in Scorpio in the Bhava Chart and Saturn is placed alone in 10th house in Capricorn and Mercury and Mars are together placed in Libra in the Navamsa Lagna chart. I am moola moon with (Sa- me-ma-mo) conjunction in saggitarius. Got badly hit by Saturn-mars Transit through scorpio. Nose dive in health, wealth, damage to peace of mind and irreversible life long health damages. No remedies worked ! Life became chaotic hell. So, if you're using Tropical with Vedic astrology, what is the orb you use for conjunctions? In my Western/tropical chart my Mars is 28 degrees Scorpio and saturn is 7 degrees Sag. This isn't really highlighted as a conjunction. In my sidereal Vedic chart I have both Saturn and Mars in Anuradha in the 10th, with mars as the lord of the 10th, and that's considered a conjunction. So which is it?! :-/

If they are in the same signs they are conjunct. As with aspects I like to use the orbs used in Tajika Astrology.

Well I have Saturn conjunct Mars in my 4th house of Scorpio and they are within 2 degrees so as you can imagine this placement has put me through quite a bit until my return that just ended.

+BlairWaldorf2013 Glad you survived! Perhaps things will improve even more once Mars crosses Saturn and leaves Sagittarius, but then again that would have to do with how well Sagittarius is doing in your natal chart. Sort of like what we talked about in the interview.

+Somna7h That most likely is a big part of it, but without looking at the whole chart it is hard to say...It could be other things, or other things could be helping this situation out, hard to say without viewing the chart as a whole.

+Ladida386 Yes Saturn and Mars conjunct or rasi aspecting, or in an exact planetary aspect, can be an indication for an engineer. I have a friend who is an engineer and has them exactly aspecting to full strength within the 1st and 10th houses, the houses of career. It also interesting because he is a client and has told me that many engineers he knows share these same qualities. But one of those planets has to be a self/career planet in the Jaimini context for this to work.

+Nicolae Patean Saturn is in good dignity in those signs, as they are his own signs, and he is able to function more efficiently...So kinda like the opposite of what we were discussing, Saturn will make one use their time more efficiently in general during this transit, and there is more of a focus on one's karmas and impact they are making on the world. It is a great time to start a long term study or project or endeavor that you hope to make an impact on the world in a long term sense. In Aquarius, Saturn is even stronger, and many of the same things will happen but also more group focus, more focus on society perhaps, and support for the masses. Saturn in either of these signs gives one a more sober and focused quality, and so in transit, it can bring this out in each of us to varying degrees based on our own karmic merit which is shown in our natal chart.

I have Saturn, Mars ( and Pluto ) in Scorpion in 8 ,... No aspects between them, Sun and Mercury in Aries at 1... (Sometimes I feel I'm going to become crazy because I don't know what to do with that energy)... Jupiter is fighting against Saturn in Capricorn, and my poor Venus in Pisces in 12 , fighting hard against them, ( Moon in Sagittarius in 9)..I can feel all this war in my head. I don't think I'm a bad person, but sometimes I can become emotionless ...I'm afraid of that .I'm really fighting hard not to become a bad person. Thanks you for sharing!!!

+Shaila Shah Both Saturn and Mars will have matured by that time so in a sense yes it will settle but at the same time this depends on your own natal chart, and if you are running a dasha of either of these, or sub periods, it could still play out and even more intensely at that time. But in general, all Saturnian issues tend to get better over time as we work with Saturn and grow older like Saturn.

+Trance_Verse When Saturn goes retrograde with Mars, the same issues we discussed are still there and I notice that there is a more intense frequency of episodes. Its often more prominent. I do not see retrograde planets as being opposite in strength or effect. Like the idea of Jupiter in cancer but retrograde, makes it act like its debilitated, I have not seen that to be true. I see retrograde planets as indicating a more intense time for past karmas to be worked out or for more "development" to be happening with that planet and what it indicates in the place it is retrograding.
