Did you use tint for the tail lights? How did you paint the windshield frame? After shaving, did you paint the spot or paint the whole panel? Did the fiberglass diffuser fit perfectly? Does GM still sell parts for the Sky? I have an aquarium in my left tail light. Cool mods. The lights are a great idea. I want to relocate to Texas in the future.

Gm sells limited parts, but body wise, were limited to ebay and junk yards. And the diffuser was a perfect fit. Norms fiberglass carries them.

Wow! Very nice job bud. Car looks amazing! Do you still have it and if so, have you done anything else to it? Again, sweet ride man. I love it! ...... I bought a new MX-5 club with the BBR package in 2016. It currently has 9,400 miles, dead-mint, better than new condition! Although the Recaro alcantara & leather seats with built in speakers look (and sound) pretty good, they're not very comfortable imho. Actually, the entire cabin is so freakin' small. I really like the "look" of the Sky and I'm seriously thinking of selling my Miata if I could find a low mileage mint-condition Sky. Have you ever driven a MX-5 ND and if so, how would you compare it to the Sky?

Awesome ride!!!!!!!! I want a Saturn Sky Redline so bad. I have a 2002 SL1 with 120K...40+ MPG...Love it...named it Zoom-Scooter. I have a 2007 Saturn Aura XR 3.6 VVT...pretty quick. I want to either upgrade with supercharger or turbo. I have located a 2007 Sky Redline with 24K and a 2009 with 14K. both have a great price...just bought a motorcycle dang it... +Bradford Zamanian the rim is a 20×8 avenue. these rims dont have an offset, cause I didn't want them to stick out. also.. the bolt pattern is 5×118, and believe me, it's not a common pattern... thanks for the compliment, and good luck brother!

I've been reading that this car has a lot of reliability issues. Would you agree? I do most of my own work, but I don't want a car where I'm constantly repairing things.

thank you! the only real major issue the car is notorious for is water pump failure.. check out the kappa sites on line and you'll be able to see the biggest issues with the motor. it's not a perfect car, and has a few minor gripes, but I think it still looks amazing..

All the charger pipes did was maintain boost instead of losing it at higher rpms due to the factory crimps in them. There's no hp gain... just more constant torgue through the rpm range

I wouldn't recommend installing a push start/stop in that location. Your e brake and transmission hub is there, plus your arm might accidently hit the switch, but If u do, I'd use a shallow start button.

xXOmegaShenronXx don't buy this hood... Save yourself stress.. I had to relocate the hinges, and almost crack the hood to take the warp out of it. If u want a good quality hood. Check out norms fiberglass

That's actually paint in the clear coat. I added a little black paint and kept spraying until I got the look I wanted. But just remember, that look is llegal I'm most states.

I used automotive paint to get it like that..its black paint in the clear.. I tried lamin-x as a film, but there were a few spots where the film doesn't like to lay correctly. My friend does tint and car wraps, and even had issues getting it down. He did a good job, but I wanted perfect, so paint was the next step.

the subs works.. and it sounds nice.. but with a convertible.. the bass goes everywhere, it doesn't bounce around in the car like it usually would.. so it doesn't make your chest hurt and that car had limited space..

I bought a blue redline a month ago and i highly recommend it. It turns heads and people will come up and ask you about it. All the Sky turbo's in my area were automatic but this 5-speed is no slouch. Still though try to find a manual if you can.

DynamiteDupree you should check out the lnf turbo upgrade from general motors. It's a warrantied install that bumps up hp from 260hp/260 lb of torque to 290hp/340 lb of torque.

There is no offset on my wheels... The bolt pattern is 5×118 These are a 20×8 in wheel with a 255/30/20. Almost the same diameter as the 18 inch stock

Well I have good news and bad news... The good news is.. If u hate the yellow color.. It's not the bulbs, it's the actual cluster. Black cat gauges has aftermarket gauges in any style u want.. The bad... if your looking for a hyper white or deep blue led, that's gonna involve soldering. And a lot of it. This summer I'm gonna replace mine, unfortunately I don't have the time to do it right now... It's not that complicated, but make sure to the gentle on the needles, and take pics before u remove them so u can install them back on in the proper locations.

hifiveguyy Well... U can get any color. The factory gauge cluster is what turns it yellow. For instance, you can order a white face gauge cluster that turns blue.. But if I want the hyper colors, you'll have to install l.e.d.'s And those u need to solder

I have the same RK Sport hood. It is a piece of shit. I had to send it back a couple of times before I finally got a half decent one. Even then, I had to pay the shop extra to actually get it to fit better. Anyways. Cool car. Take care.

LoL, lowered the car but added 20" wheels, do in reality, you actually raised the car, NOT lowered it. Stock are 18" wheels. Plus the added weight of the tall wheels and tires.

Michael Harris factory 245/45/18 are a tiny bit bigger than the 255/30/20 that are currently on there. plus the factory 18 inch wheels are steel... the 20s are aluminum, so it shaved off almost 30lbs in weight. the car is not taller than factory height.

Yes, hood is crappy. The under-lights are to ricy and why, why did you lower it 1", then raise it with the tall wheels and tires?... Stock whls are 18's, lower it 1" then raise it 2" it's 20" whls. Kinda counter productive. The only thing good about tall wheels is that they might look better. Otherwise taller wheels: Lengthen stopping distance, 0-60 mph takes longer, handling is worse and mpg's will drop. 2" more wheel and approximately 2.25" more tire per one full rotation... I can see doing the tall wheels if you were doing it as a cruiser, but not for acceleration and handling. Lots of people just don't understand the ramifications of taller wheels. I'd have staid with the Oem 18's in size. And yes, that's the proper word "staid"... "Stayed" is incorrect as it means to be stopped in a place/location or remain in position.

Michael Harris if you can build a better one with a limited aftermarket.. by all means. just the new tire and wheel combo alone on there dropped it a 1/2 inch. the eibach lowering kit was 1.3 inches. one more time... the factory wheels are heavier than the aftermarket so I gained on the weight reduction.. those hoods are a bad design, but considering what it started off as... it's 100% better.. and as far as the lights... they were a gift from a family member. I made it for my taste.. and to each their own

FACT: This car has NO limited slip differential. Slips easily on the road. The flaps for the convertible break. The weight balance sucks really bad. The Radio always will eventually will break. That radio breakes all the time in the Ford Explorers. The design is very bad. It's a car that you don't want to be seen in. and last but not least....come on. It's a Saturn. No auto repair shops work on Saturns. worse brand name car in the world. JUNK...JUNK...JUNK.
