Great video! One question-how would one retain the volume functionality in the gear shifter? I know for the steering wheel column there are interfaces you can get, but what if the volume controls on the shifter?

That is not a volume control, that is for the manual shifting option on your gear selector.

You can hardwire if you want but you will have to test wires and all that. It will be easier to just buy the harness
