Tried the coconut butter recipe!! It's amazing. Few Pointers for people making it first time tho... • Depending on how fresh or not the Gola Coconut is, you might have to add a tablespoon or 2(1 tablespoon at a time) of coconut oil to get the churning going. • Running the mixer grinder for 5-7 mins sadly wasn't enough initially. (Needed more time to figure things out to get the consistency shown in the video) • What worked was using the smallest multi mixer jar and using it on pulse mode. • Scraping the sides of the jar between every pulse movement also helped incorporate the flakes. • Grinding the flesh in batches of 2 (about ⅓rd of the jar in each batch) was quite fast, less than 5mins even. It was not totally smooth. • Once after making a gritty butter of both batches, I finally ran the mixer grinder on the first speed for maybe 10-12 seconds and got the exact consistency as in the video. • I didn't find it necessary to peel the skin off, I liked the contrast of outer peel to flesh. • Depending on requirement you may need to peel the skin, if you want to use it for frostings and such. • Also for the time being I have stored my butter in an old pickle jar from one of the store bought pickles in the refrigerator. • 1 coconut gave me 210gms of butter These are what I learnt from making my butter. Hope this helps!! Planned to make a Vegan Cake tomorrow. Will update on how it turns out!! Update: The cake came out Fab!!! But the butter was a bit too runny for frosting so had to use store bought peanut butter for the frosting. Else the cake was super moist and spongy!!! Definitely an amazing replacement for regular butter!!!! Thankyou for reading to my rants! Cheers!!!
