my god, you are totally correct. Im not pleased with the way black metal is written anymore. Now you have to dig.

@@lordraptor5042 Yeah, I think these early bands weren't as concerned with being exclusively "black metal", "thrash", or "melodic death", etc. Everybody's got the black metal formula now, and granted, it's easier to find listenable stuff (Black Metal Promotion has a lot of this), but you're right--those paragons are few and far between.
@Incalor4 жыл бұрын
@@lordraptor5042 Yeah, but nowadays I have to search for bands like Blut Aus Nord, Deathspell Omega and Blacklodge, whose styles are what I listen to for a black metal experience. Classic black metal cannot be replaced, but these bands do offer a new direction and something unique.

Lyrics This is Armageddon "And I looked, and behold a pale horse: And his name that sat on him was Death And Hell followed with him Power was given unto them Over the fourth part of the world To kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death And with the beasts of the earth." And then again "I saw and beheld, a black horse; And he that sat on him had a scythe; and a crown Was given unto him and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. And there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black As sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood. And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, Even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, When she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together, And every mountain and island were moved out of their places." Almighty mountains and rocks, I beg you fall on them. For the great day of wrath is coming, And who shall be able to stand?

The question is what business does a Norwegian black metal band, part of a scene that was basically a Neo volkisch movement for the removal of Christian influence from Norway, have using the Bible as its lyrics?
@Frost-ez2ge3 жыл бұрын
@@blackspring3207 there are an entire inner perspective in some black and death metal circles that asume the church as the evil itself, because they killed every culture before them "in the name of God" and because of that, many bands use their own words against them. It's like Vital Remains in Dechristianize, if you hear carefully, there is not to much blasphemy, there are just "bible fact's" that are pure evilness.

Revelation 6:8-10 King James Version 8. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. 9. And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

I guess he is 43 now and i bet you that he looks back and think how much things do change and how much better musician he is now.why stay stuck playing the same thing when life is about getting better and smarter in what you love to do.thank god for not having a mind of a 18 year old and the image as a dark evil thing.he grew to be a brilliant music producer.
