So, I might be able to answer this: there was a FELON magazine where they interviewed Nas in 2001, talking about the Nas-vs-Jay Z beef. Apparently Jay-Z told Nas at a party back in 2000 a few things: said that he was bigger than Biggie, said that Beanie Sigel wouldn’t sell more than 600,000, and also had said that Sauce Money was to him to what Nature was to Nas. Now: about what Jay meant by that statement abt Sauce Money… it definitely has a negative connotation: as in, Sauce Money/Nature are pawns in chess… OR that Sauce Money/Nature are followers. Not sure, but it’s definitely a diss. That’s my opinion on what their beef was about, could be wrong though!
