Here’s some useful tips for doors: Rush You don’t have to wait in a closet if your in a crisis, he follows a path that if anyone stands in the way of it, that causes you to die. In places like stairways this works, but not in straight hallways. Screech Once you hear screech’s “psst” just immediately look around everywhere, in every direction. He can be anywhere, even right on top of you. Ambush Ambush is kinda like rush. He just emits a different sound. In order to survive him, you might have to do some closet hopping, basically meaning you might have to get out of the closet when ambush leaves, then re-enter the closet when he comes back. He can do total of 6-7 rebounds. (Rebounds are when he paces back and fourth) Halt He’s pretty easy to figure out, there’s a pop up that comes on your screen, when that happens, turn around. Just follow this until you eventually reach the door. Dupe Always pay attention to the door your at. When dupe arrives in a room, you have to decide which is the next door. And I’ve tried it before, so don’t try to go back doors to see which one your at, the numbers get carved out so you can’t see it. Figure You can crouch around him as long as you want, he’s blind. I choose to not hide in closets, only for emergencies, because there’s this kind of mini-game you have to do if you are being chased and hide in a closet, and for some people it can be hard, or it can get glitched and purposely make you die. Crucifix You can use it on basically every entity, except for seek and figure it only slows them down. Greenhouse (90-100): When this far, go 2 rooms then hide at a closet and wait for rush. Wait at least 30 seconds, and don’t have any distractions. The thunder and lightning will make it harder to hear rush, so be alert! Always stay on the left side. Never go in the middle. Although you may step on a trap or two, this will avoid you getting caught by not getting to a closet in time. Door 100: Always save a lock pick for the door. Don’t spend time trying to grab the key. This doesn’t really do anything, it just saves a few seconds for speed runners. Once figure is alarmed, go through the middle, then the right into the room right there. That’s usually the hardest to get to, at least for me. Then go into the one right across the hall, then finish up with the middle room. Always keep a crucifix and a charged flashlight on you. The crucifix is to keep you alive. If figure touches you with a crucifix equipped, he will be effected. It’s very dark in door 100, so that’s why you need a full flashlight. Once you have all pieces, if you didn’t use your crucifix, put it in the rift for next run. This so how you get the expert technician (basically solve the power box mini game within a minute): The lit ones are what you need to click on. As you go along, pull the levers on the ones you see. Just keep clicking the numbers as you see them, it helps if you memorize the levers. Hidden items/ achievements A: you can get an achievement for filling Jeff’s tip jar H: it’s not really hidden, but the gremlin talks about door 60 being “scary” and to stay away from it. I believe he says that because behind the closets, you can enter a crawl space in the walls. If you enter the next room, it’s should be a lever room, which if you complete, you can then go back to that door, and the area at the end of the crawl space will be open. With two lock picks, you can unlock the two locks, and enter the original doors. I’m not joking, this really exists. I tried it though, and I was not only extremely confused, but got bored quickly. A:you can get achievements my using your crucifix on different mobs, but you cannot use your crucifix more than once! Tip: what happened to Eddie was a strange and rare coincidence, he got killed my rush, teleported my error, and error teleported him to a dupe door? That was pretty cool, and definitely rare. I’m sorry for being THAT person , hope this helps someone! Oh and by the way, it’s possible to glitch out figure in the railing to make him permanently stuck, I’ve done it many times.

Tips for getting to door 100 with the hotel update: always save up to 500 coins to at least get a cross and a skull key. You can actually click your mouse with the cross to stop any enemy, and stun bosses. Also from doors 90-99 rush will come I think 2-5 times so watch out for spikes on the floor and always hide in closets. (I know you probably won't see this but I hope it helps someone)

Edds final death seems to be caused by a bug in the game. “Glitch” is meant to teleport you into the next room if room generation bugs out but it seems he somehow then spawned you directly on Dupe. Odd.

The absolute bad luck on that last door... Eddie actually would have survived if it weren't for Glitch. What happened was when Rush went through the next door, he instead opened the Dupe door, not only triggering Dupe, but also triggered the room Eddie was in to despawn. This resulted in both Glitch and Dupe damaging him, and since he was already hit once he couldn't survive both attacks.

Just a heads up Eddy,make sure you have the crucifix out to use it, Also the skull key will come in handy if you find a hidden Door in level 60. Make sure you have two lock picks and a skull key to enter. It will also be locked by a cage, to order to have it open you must find a lever to open the caged area to enter the ROOMS.

You do not need to face the monster or click on the monster with the crucifix, the crucifix actually acts as a free second life, so basically if you die or take damage to anything, it will banish it and give you another chance to live, exactly like the totem of undying from minecraft but the totem in minecraft doesnt actually banish them, it just gives you a second life, just think of the crucifix as a totem of undying but more stronger

The cross Eddie grabs is called the "Crucifix" it works on Rush, Ambush, Screech, Dupe, Figure and Seek. It's a item that was cut from the game but brought back in the newer update. It stuns seek and figure, but "kills" the rest.

If you happen to run into two doors with numbers, try to memorize what number you saw on the door and go through the door you memorized. If you get it wrong it could possibly take half of your heath, meaning you would need to get a band-aid or try to get vitamins. I hope this was helpful :)

Doors tips that will help you make it to door 100. Rush: This entity has a loud screaming noise when he's coming. If the lights flicker, listen for the screaming. Screech: This entity lurks in the dark, if you have no source of light, he will come touch your toes. When you have a light source, he has 98% of actually getting you. Seek: This guy is the black humanoid creature with one eye, you have to follow the blue light to the right door. Remember, look both ways before running in any direction. Figure: This guy is the off brand Demogorgon, he cannot see but can still hear incredibly well. Crouching is your best option to avoid him. Ambush: This annoying guy is just like Rush, but he can come to about 2-4 times. He has a loud humming sound when he's nearby. Use what you learned from Rush. Dupe: This man hides behind fake doors. The Crucifix: This item can banish almost any entity you cross. It cannot banish Seek and Figure. Lock pick: It can unlock locked doors. Candle: It's a light source, but when it goes out for a few seconds, it's a warning that an entity is coming. Flashlight: Light source but better than candle and lighter. Lighter: It's a light source, nothing special. Skeleton Key: Can unlock any locked door, and can unlock the special locked door in the infirmary. The Herb: This plant can heal you when you take damage, but it cannot revive you. The Vitamins: These pills can make you fast for about 10 seconds, but have a sluggish feeling when it wears off.

FYI: treasure chests are only in unmarked doors they contain gold and other useful items, the gold ones contain up to 250 gold, but they require lock picks the grey ones don't but contain less gold
