Austin's vocal prowess really shines in this song/video. The sultry looks into the camera were because Amberly (his girlfriend) was there in the studio with him. :D The backing vocals and vocal percussion are otherworldly, too! And I totally agree with you that they should be MUCH more well-known than they are. Great reaction, as always, SauceyDad!

I agree Home Free should be more well known. In my opinion, so don't hate me, I prefer Home Free's song choices and music and video choices. There are about 3 PTX songs I like, otherwise I don't like the type of songs they do and I find Voiceplay is too theatrical. I enjoy the simplicity of HF videos, less is more because of their talent. I also feel like I know them as individuals. Great reaction Mr Saucey.

Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.

I said that ever since I first discovered Home Free 7,5 years ago, that I can't believe they aren't more well-known than they are, but it's all due to not getting airplay on the radio in the US and so they don't get it automatically elsewhere either. Radio stations in the US have very little freedom as they tend be tied to the big levels, and many other radio stations across the world play their native artists first and then the music played on American radio, and so the artists that are not pushed by big labels don't actually get much, if any, airplay. Home Free's fandom comes mostly from social media. Some go back to the Sing-Off, but most people know of them thanks to their videos on KZbin, and through the sharing of their videos on other social media platforms. So when I first discovered them in mid August 2014 they had 88,000 subscribers on KZbin. The music industry, as all other industries, is changing and it's much thanks to platforms like KZbin and Patreon, that allow artists to share their music to the world. Btw, I'm sure you look at your wife the same way Austin looked into the camera, or Amberly standing next to it, and if you don't maybe it's time to start. 😉 Personally, Austin inspirers me to show my man more love and appreciation, because I know he loves me like that. 🥰💃🙏

@conniestone28062 жыл бұрын
You were hilarious about Austin. No one works a camera better than that handsome young man do they? Home Free is getting so man views that aren't counted in their videos, which are up in the millions for each, but they get hundreds of thousands from reactors also. But they know it and they appreciate it! Their brand-new one from 2/14, for instance, has thousands or views from reactors to add to their views on their official video. And I keep seeing more and more reactors seeing them for the first time and new fans added. So taking it slowly, but surely getting more and more recognized. And we are such loyal fans and they know it. We are all blessed to be part of their community and of you reactors. Thanks so muuh for sharing the guys! Take care. (Oh, and yes, your wife would get that feeling most of us do when Austin looks at the camera! lok! Maybe blindfold your wife and let her listen only! lol!

For an amazing video showing off Austin's control, you ought to check out his version of "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables. It's a song from the perspective of an older man who's just watched a young man head off to battle. Austin's dramatic musical theater influence is showcased in the best light to perform what he himself considers to be one of the best songs he's ever done. Sebastien accompanies on piano and the high note at the end is spine-tingling.

Another great reaction from you, I have decided to subscribe to your reactions. Yes this video was made during the pandemic a year ago right before Valentine's Day. They have a handful of videos that they put out during that worst time regarding the virus last year, another one was a song that they did with the original artist Don McLean called American Pie, how they managed to pull that video off is very clever and well done! If you want to hear a very good example of Chance's voice you have to check out HF's cover of Cover Me Up, Chance sings the lead the whole song and he does a beautiful job with it! Home Free continues to blow us all away with how talented they all are! Love love Home Free!

Thankfully there are channels like yours SD that help spread the word about HF and lots of other great artists. The internet is the best place to find the best new music these days. Groups like HF don't appeal to main stream media, because they are all about catering to the young & musicians who fill huge statiums with eye watering ticket prices. However the more you, and people like you, listen & appreciate these artists the greater their audiences will be & I've noticed more & more younger people are cottoning on too, which is great.
