Kevin commented one time that he and Avi were so in sync that if he had to catch his breath, Avi would just ‘know’ it and cover for him. What a dynamic team!

They did a video for this and it was up for a hot second and then it disappeared. 21 Pilots pulled their okay and said no. In my penta brain, I am going to say it was because it was better or so different than the original lol.

Hello Saucey Dad. Glad you did this one. This one shows how versatile they are and you are so right they are "on point". All five of them! What was that pause Saucey Dad......You OK? .......Mitch slap again? LOL. Mitch's range ---- 6 octaves at least. If you want to hear more Mitch range try "Take On Me" or "Somebody to Love" or "Come Along". Love your PTX reactions!!

funny enough this was live at an Australian radio station and they were all jet lagged. One of my favourites is when mitch sings break free/see through from the red bull 😂 star vista Singapore concert (although avi had already blown the speakers by then😂) in-fact do yourself a favour watch the videos from star vista amazing concert

Can we just take a moment to understand this is five people. 5! People with just their voices making this track! That's just dumb. However, it shows how talented and dedicated every member is to the sound. NOT themselves but the sound of the whole. It is why I love them so much. Much love and keep on keepin on J.

Did Slappy run away from home? Brain damage is eminent! 🤣 I love that you go looking for something that appeals to you from them! We all have different tastes and they have so much content, we just rack our brain what to request to you more than anything else! We just want to see the appreciation we feel for this group! You have given us that! Thank you!

This is the first time I can honestly say I've heard Mitch reach for a note. And, even that was awesome. You're right, though, that Mitch is super smooth over the entirety of his range. He can transition from his upper register to his low in a single breath without missing a beat and without a wrong note in the whole of it. You're also correct that PTX tends to make even the most somber of songs sound hopeful. They took that "nervous to start something new" feel of the original song and turned it into, IMO, an "excited for a new challenge" vibe instead. Which is how we always hope to feel when starting a new project or a new venture, though that doesn't always happen. Great video, brudda.

Another lesser-reacted-to song is their cover of "Waving Through a Window" from the musical Dear Evan Hanson. Scott really shines in it.

This one is on my daily Playlist. I recommend it often to reactors cause it's so often overlooked. In my opinion it's better than the original and I LOVE 21 pilots. Try out their cover of "somebody I used to know" or "say something " also one's they upgraded cause yea..that's what they do lol.

This was at a radio station in Australia back when they got closely photographed alot to see if they were cheating or truly acapella. It's always fun to see how they do it. Yes well they used to practice incessantly and, depending on when this was, Avi and Kevin were sharing an apartment in the beginning for several years as were Mitch and Scott. Practicing brought the rythmn section really tightly together.

Honestly, I'd like it if you'd do more random PTX that you choose... I'm tired of people pushing the same songs on reactors, especially the way they cycle so that even when the songs requested change *all* the reactors are still watching the same songs all at once. It makes sense for new releases, but there's no reason to have 10 reactions to a 5 or 10 year old song over a matter of days... then 10 reactions to a different 5 year old song, then another and another, always moving in tandem. Like, let's get some La La Latch, Where Are U Now, Perfume, Don't You Worry Child, Dreams, Blinding Lights... and on and on... in between the go-to songs and flavor of the day. Instead, I fully expect to see an influx of Ride reactions next week 😏

REALLY GOOD MUSICIANS use their hands to control their voice, seemingly. You will see this with them A LOT!! They are keeping time, as well as "singing on top" which is vocally visualizing not REACHING a note but coming in on top of it. Like a mountain. Apparently, Mitch has this down perfectly..Lol

If you ever check out Mitch's vocal range, I'd recommend doing the one from 5 years ago (the most viewed one) and not the one from 2020 - the one from 2020 is still good but it's longer and doesn't show quite as much of his vocal range. Also you should check out both Scott and Mitch's riffs and runs when you have the chance too! So glad that you're enjoying these guys both together and separately!

There are times when my hubby and I will watch the voice. We were discussing the 3 person group that just won last season and compared how they layered a song vs how PTX did. Main difference, the group of 3 used instruments, and a band. PTX does that wall of sound, with 5 voices, if they do use instruments, they are front and center, no more than 2. As of now, they have used a cello, violin, piano and a guitar. The only 2 instruments used together are the cello and violin in 3 songs. I think that you have reacted to 2 of them. My requests are for Silent night and Away in a Manger. Those arrangements are phenomenal and Mitch slap worthy. Just to keep Slappy busy protecting you. Enjoy the crayons. Which reminds me, do you have a PO box, just so the Fam can send you crayons? I remember when you were hunting for a crayon to chew on during the Gold video, which was advised and you disregarded us. But we still keep watching, I'm enjoying the fall of what is left of your brain. Waiting for it to just crack open your skull and walk away after too many Mitch slaps. While carrying its luggage. Sorry, my over active imagination is painting the cartoon scenario in my head. I'm only a little bit crazy 🤪. But I have a great sense of humor.

I am new to your channel and have binge watched all of your PTX and Superfruit reactions in the last two days. You are so funny and refreshing to watch! Here are some PTX recommendations that I don't think you've reacted to yet: Carol of the Bells (live Christmas special) - an incredibly difficult song that really proves mitch is an alien. The man doesn't breathe. Run to You - a PTX original written by Kevin and Avi. Avi is the star of this show! Gold (Kiara cover) - a really cool and intimate performance again showcasing Mitch's vocal abilities. The Making of Evergreen - a really cool inside look on how their arrangements are put together. And last one of my all time favorite PTX is linked below. It's over 18 minutes long but is all candid and backstage footage of them just jiving, singing, being silly, and coming up with arrangements. Such a fun video! kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZvLlYhnp9Cnpsk kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZvLlYhnp9Cnpsk

You should hear Mitch and the others do Take On Me- showcases his ease of moving from one octave to the next. PLEASE listen to 16 year-old Mitch singing “Kiss the Air” at a talent show in 2009. Search for “Mitch Grassi 2009”. It also has a performance of Mitch and Scott singing an original duet. It is so awe-inducing to hear them at such a young age being so amazing.

They aren't whistle notes. Mitch has verified that they aren't. He inhales for them rather than exhaling, making them controlled squeaks. Fun and rather impressive, but not exactly musical and definitely not the same as Kirstin or Mariah Carey.

Hey Nick, you want something hilarious but brain breaking to react to? I just stumbled on something that I can't decide if it's the best thing ever or the biggest WTF moment of the last decade...possibly both simultaneously. Look up Bring Back The Time, by New Kids on the Block (ft a few others) on YT, it's only just over a week old. My brain is broken! Not sure if "you're welcome" or "I'm sorry" would be most appropriate for me to say.
