We got (Voice)Played again. These guys take a song that should NEVER work as a cappella and then just kill it. And us in the process. Geoff with his arrangement skill and that bass backbeat, Eli the rock god swapping those high tenor parts with an equally talented Anthony, Sassy Cesar showing us not just his voice but a bit of 'tude as well, and then LAYNE!!!! OMG Layne! They are all taking huge risks lately and it's paying off in spades! I really have to give kudos to their hidden member Ed Boyer too for his genius mixing.

Voiceplay released their new video on their patreon Thursday.. It should be on KZbin soon. J None is back in this one. Geoff Castelucci just posted his new video on his patreon A week ago. He brought back the 4 Dwarves from his Misty Mountain Cold video. He will premiering it on KZbin June 9th. Both are absolutely beautiful.

@@janetdw I know right? That's one of the reasons I love Geoff's videos with clones. He gives them each their own personality. He has them do various things that make it seem like there are 4 different guys instead of just one. He did that even in his introduction speech on Patreon. How it was funny that all the singers were available to do this. He's taken the individual name thing and ran with it and I love it.

It's pronounced Garjoola. For future reference. He appears with them in Golden Hour. I do think that those sounds you hear are done in post production, and as this was Geoff's arrangement I imagine he tinkered with the voice at that point. But I don't know for sure. I guess I've been living under a rock, or at least in the UK as I didn't know the song previously. :) And frankly I don't care. This version is enough for me.

Don't live under a rock, but do claim to be semi-vampiric in nature and only come out at night. So maybe a cave 🧛‍♀️😂 I looked the song up and listened to the original as soon as it was announced, wasn't a fan. Loved how Voiceplay remixed it, I could and have listened to it on repeat at least 100 - 1000 times 😅 They need to play this version at the sports games (I think it's sports game where they usually play it)

Anthony was featured in a VP video once before, but it was not on this level. Like a *lot* of the songs VP does, I never would've heard of this one if they hadn't covered it. There are of course some exceptions: I was already very familiar with Mountain King, Jingle Bells, Oh Holy Night, O Little Town, Phantom, Little Mermaid, that one song from the movie Ghost, all the songs from Nightmare Before Christmas, a couple of the Boy Bands songs (notably, both of the ones Weird Al did parodies of), several of the Queen songs, and some of the ones in the "ACA Top 10" series; and I had also randomly encountered Still Alive, In My Room (long story involving middle school and cassette tapes), Wayward Son, Butter (because of Pentatonix), Grinch (also because of Pentatonix, though VP's version is much better) and, for some reason, Can't Help Falling in Love, though I don't remember where I'd heard it. Oh, and Elvira, because long story. But I think that's all, or nearly all. Mostly they do songs I've never heard of before. I literally do not know *anyone* IRL who listens to groups like Metallica or Aerosmith or the White Stripes or Panic at the Disco or Billie Eilish, et cetera ad infinitum ad nauseam. I don't know anyone who listens to Queen either, but some of their stuff was big enough to get played/referenced in other contexts, e.g. one of them showed up in a Mickey Mouse cartoon in the eighties and was also parodied by Weird Al; another was played at pep rallies when I was in school; one was in a dumb movie that somebody made me watch at one point about two teenage boys sitting on a couch broadcasting a fake talk show, and was also covered by Pentatonix; and so forth. Geoff's solo channel tends to cover songs that I *am* already familiar with, but there are some exceptions there too: Geoff was my first introduction to Big Bad John, Blackbird, Castamere, Way Down, and Saddle Up.
