I'm tempted to try the Speed2's again. I got a pair at the very beginning of my running journey, and they just seemed "too much" for me at the time...but now I do the vast majority of my training in the EP2 and EP3, so it makes me think the Speed2 would work well for me.

I think this might be my next shoe. I really like my Endorphin Speed 4s and I think this might make sense to put into my rotation. I would like to see what you think is the best max cushion shoe that is also decent for daily miles. Looking forward to the comparison between this and the More v5. I had the more v4 but I either sized it wrong or it's too squishy because it just makes my ankles hurt lol.

I’m a bigger runner, 230 lbs, running about 30 miles a week. I bought a pair of these and while it felt comfortable and protective, I had to return it after about 15 miles due to rubbing and blisters from the upper. Foam felt good for relaxed paces but blisters are a no for me.

Super fun shoe! I see what you mean about the toebox but not a problem for me. Love this “max protect”category as an offshoot of max cush. Kudos to Saucony for trying something new with Center Path - definitely influences the ride. Only gripe: The upper isn’t what I expect from a $160 shoe. They couldn’t gusset the tongue, for real?

Traded the NB More V5 for this. Toe box is much wider on the Hurricane but similar feel. I'm a lighter runner and this is works for me as a recovery, comfort, protection shoe (note I also like the Speed 4).

Awesome I'm glad this is working better for you. Charli had some issues with the more v5 toebox as well but was able to fix it with diff socks. Hurricane is awesome though - glad you found your max cushion gateway 😂

I've been waiting for this review! Beginner female here with bad feet. Tried this on last week, the store only had a size smaller than I wear in a wide, too short of course but I was surprised the wide was not wide at all in the heel. Amazing comfort as you described. I ended up ordering a Mens size 10 (I wear an 11.5 M womens) because I wanted the black/gray shoe. Hoping the heel is not too wide in the Mens. Any thoughts on the Mens heel width? I’m from Seattle, but we have been stationed in the south and now live in MD. Annual rainfall in the PNW is usually less than many areas of the south. But, it’s always a cold rain lol up north. That was my least favorite part. Give me a warm southern rain any day! (Minus lightning).

I don't love my Guide 17's - A little too much rocker, too much squish and too much sink into the shoe - the heel specifically. But the Hurricane is such a nice blend for my long and easy runs. My only complaint is the Hurricane for some reason didn't get a gusseted tongue. Why?? Seems kind of standard these days. So the tongue is constantly slipping sideways. Otherwise, I love these!

Jo Yowona 😁🙌 When you talked about the weird taste of your tasteless electrolyte water, I thought of my experience on my long run with my new GU energy gel in the salted watermelon flavor 😂 I tried an energy gel for the first time on my long run last Thursday and there is a special version of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The name is Harry Potter and the Secret Porn Basement. There is a scene where Hermine, Ron and Harry brew a potion in the women's bathroom and then drink it. In the version, Ron says that the potion tastes like his grandmother under his arm. Unfortunately, this exact scene and this sentence came to mind when I put the GU energy gel in my mouth for the first time and got to experience the taste. I thought it tasted like my grandma's armpits 😅😅😅 The taste of it isn't that amazing but it works like a charm because of the high salt content and the combination of caffeine. I personally believe that the salt combined with the caffeine is the reason for the taste experience 😄😄😄 And texture is more on the thicker side 😄😄😄😄 So I needed a sip of water after every gel to bring them down properly 😁🙌

Ok I gotta say.....I was excited about this shoe. I had tried the Guide 17 and I had to return them. The first and only show I had to return. Agree. People get waaay to concerned about weight. I really only care about weight when it comes to race day shoes. And maybe tempo shoes but as far as daily trainer and especially recovery/easy day. Doesn’t matter to me at all

I liked the shift as well but that was a lot firmer than this. Kinvara pro and guide 17 are closer to that shift feel. Kinvara pro is awesome if you like that firmer rockered ride with good cushion. Guide 17 isn't as protective as the shift/Kinvara pro but also has that firm rolling feel. Kinvara pro is the closest overall replacement I've tried

@@thomasvg4371 I like them all for different purposes. shift 3 is the most versatile and if you can find it still it will be a great deal around $80 probably. It's firm but if you like firm it's the best shoe at what it does. Hurricane is very soft and a good recovery/relaxed shoe. Kinvara pro is firm like the shift and best for speed/longer runs. If you're deciding between Kinvara pro and hurricane 24, get the Kinvara pro if you want something for speed and the hurricane if you're going for comfort

Under 24.5 I’m another of those unhappy Brits 😂😂 who complain about the weather too hot today, too cold tomorrow but honestly I don’t think even 10 could do a 5K nevermind 42 of them. But anyway only wish more brands could put a better outsole on for the winter, if Adidas and Puma can do it why can’t others ?? This really annoys me and does limit my options for running during the winter months, I’m almost a pure Puma runner during December and January cos of the Pumagrip. A lot of brands fail on that score unfortunately

No this is a lot softer and also bulkier on foot than the shift. I thought this might be the replacement but the shift had more of a versatile ride that felt like it could pick up the pace. The best replacements I've found so far are the guide 17 and ghost max 2. Also novablast 4 has a higher drop and not as much of a rocker but if you like a slightly firmer everyday shoe it could be a good choice

Got some more miles in the Hurricane this morning. It's so comfortable - if you want comfort above all else, that's the hurricane. SC trainer v3 will be better for long runs and any sort of pace pickup - it's lighter and the plate gives you more assistance for those long miles

These are more comfort oriented and more of a relaxed daily trainer. Skyward X has a lot more bounce and is better for faster running. Both are awesome but I'd go Hurricane 24 if you want comfort and Skyward X if you want bounce and fun! Also Skyward X is more versatile, so youll get the value out of it even though it's $220. Hurricane 24 I wouldn't want to do long runs in, but Skyward X handles them just fine
