Finally some reviewers cutting thru the novablast hype, and giving a real and honest review. I recently tried the novablast 4, and thought they were completely over hyped. They felt mushy, and had a sloppy fit. Over the past year I ran a lot in the Saucony Triumph and they always felt great. (Also spent a lot of time wearing the Saucony Endorphin speed 3).

*novablast 3. Haven't tried the nb 4.
@daves662011 ай бұрын
Endorphin Speed 3 is the worst Saucony shoe for me, Saucony increased "stability" so there's too much arch support and it protrudes into the foot between arch and heel which makes Speed 3 unwearable. I have Speed 1 and 2 , Pro 1 and 3 they are all good and don't have similar issues.

Got both shoes, being a heavier runner at around 95kg with only size 7.5 uk size feet (used to do bodybuilding), I would recommend the novablast 4 as I felt the Saucony was a bit mushy and unstable in the heel strike. What is generally never discussed on any running review channel is the simple physics of force distribution over a smaller area and how this affects the dynamic compression of a midsole and I would think many runners, especially newbie’s trying to lose weight, would fall into the same category as me. Something for testers to consider as very few of us are 65-75kg racing snakes! BTW, running distances from 6 - 15 kilometres for reference.

Looks like I need to start my reviews back up. I was doing reviews from the perspective of a bigger runner at about the same weight (95kg). I’ve been taking a hiatus for a bit.

I have used the triumph 20 for a whopping 2,000klm in ironman and 3hour marathon training. It is still like new. Incredibly durable materials!!! It is a very firm rebound. Just wish it had a touch more propelled feeling (maybe a nylon plate and 8mm drop)

I have always used the Triumph (19 is my latest) and recently fell for the hype and tried the Novablast 3. Instantly pain on my knees, so switching back to the Triumphs. Now on the lookout for Triumph 21's but they have bumped up the price ridiculously (now selling at 190 euros I mean, what?!). Early may the 22's will be released so hopefully I can get the 21s kn discount.

Kind of an odd versus request, but how about the Puma Magnify Nitro 2 vs Asics Novablast 4? Similar priced shoes, and the Puma’s ride very similarly to the Triumph 20/21. Especially when comparing price, those may be a good comparison? Thoughts?

If I would choosing between zoom and pwerrun pb foam I would take powerrun from Saucony. Even though I don't have Invincible but I have Vomero. And the foam there is way too soft. It compresses to the point when I feel the ground in a hard way. I don't like such kind of softness especially during 10km+ runs. And I also really like my Triumph 20.

stiff as a brick. Unrunable! I NEVER had anything remotely like this in ANY shoe in the planet. And I'M niot kidding. If I with my 90kg and EU 45,5 size cannot bend the midsole of the EU 46 shoe, then i don't know.

A great channel and all the presenters are excellent. However, I'd love to see a less accomplished run tester join the team too. I'm guessing an 85kg, 10 minute per mile runner has a different perspective on a shoe than a 65 kg, 6 minute miler in terms of bounce, cushioning, comfort, how it rolls etc. and they would be representing a large portion of the buying public too, > cough< including me 😁.

@Maochan8111 ай бұрын
Triumph 21 looks good, but the drop is just too high for me. I'm not even sure if it makes sense for someone who already uses Speed 3 for most runs. For me i'm more inclined to go for the Novablast for easy runs.
@Frichilsasta0811 ай бұрын
I mean...you're using a shoe with a plate in it and responsive foam every day so of course a daily trainer will feel sluggish in comparison...I'd go w the ride 17 if you want to stick w an 8mm drop w nice cushion

I don't think the Novablast 4 is pillowy and plush at all. Its a lot firmer than the NB3 and close to the triumph 21, if not firmer to me. Maybe because i'm a heavier runner. I find the NB4 to be very firm in the forefoot.

All Saucony shoes give me heel blisters and it bums me out.
@daves662011 ай бұрын
The problem is Saucony changed their design and made arch support more pronounced for Ride, Triumph and Speed 3, which makes these shoes unwearable for some people, unfortunately I am one of them. I still can run in Speed 2, Pros and Elite, but I intend to ditch Saucony and turn to other brands in the future.
