The '79 revolution simply ended the monarchy system and installed the current system of government. 2) Why pronouncing Iran like EYE-Ran (or iRan)? Do you also pronounce Illinois like EYE-llinois? The 'i' in 'Iran' is pronounced like the 'i' in 'Istanbul' or 'Illinois'. Its simply called iiiiran /iːˈrɑːn/. No more iRan please, its not an Apple product lol

@The short Lad, How is that relevant to my comment? - Btw you should note that the second part of your comment is NOT correct. Comparing to the current 'Islamic regime' and its enforced rules, of course some of the current restrictions did not exist prior to the 1979 revolution. Slicin' N' Dicin' when the name of the country isn’t changed in English and end glide has the ability to pronounce it properly then yeah we tend to try to pronounce a nations name properly especially when it’s written for us in our own writing script I mean Iran and Iraq use the Arabic/ Persian script to write not the Latin script so it’s an assumption that when it is written in the Latin script in a way most of the world would be able to pronounce the nations name properly that it shouldn’t be hard to do so someone who is making a informative video to figure out

It's not pronounced "EYE-ran", nor is it "EYE-rak". If we are going to talk about a topic, we should at least use the correct pronunciation. Also, I hardly see how one can compare and contrast any two countries, especially in this region, without delving deeper into historical and political background. A glaring contrast in this case, is that Saudi Arabia is named after a single family whose patriarch was handpicked by Western colonial powers to rule because of his repressive tendencies and the weak government that would be created. Iran's constitutional revolution started in 1905 despite intense British opposition, and at every turn British and American efforts tried to derail it in favor of despotism. I'm sorry, but this is more misinformation than information!

The name is Iran... not Eyeran... 🤦♂️ Ee... do you say Eyendia...no India? -Sattelites dishes are not illegal in Iran. (They were when sattelite tv was first introduced but quickly the gov't gave up) in fact They have their own satteltite based channels. -Iran has freedom of religion (to a certain degree of tolerance)... there are churches, synagogues, hindu temples etc... and more than half the country ARE atheist... public practice is not easy to do but the religions are accepted... unlike all Arab nations, we do not consider a person's religion as part of their personal information... in fact all Arabs have their religion stated in their passports... we do not. Not even on birth certificates... Furthermore, we have every religion existing in Iran even Jewish 😉 -Iran also has holy sites for Muslims... for SHIA Muslims at least... -Iran has history dating back over 200,000 to 300,000 thousand years... certain sites date back to even more... it is the place where the first ever monotheistic religion in history was recorded... so old in fact that they can't pinpoint the date. -women have NO rights in Saudi Arabia. Iran has women ministers and the highest female education rate in the region (aside from India... or Eyendia, 🤣) Lol - In Iran u can get alcohol easier than u can get a burger haha

I flew to Ethiopia a couple of years ago. Stopped to refuel in Saudi. We we're not allowed to get off the plane. No explanation, just told if we deplaned we would not be allowed to reboard. I have always wondered why. Also, I am very curious about Saudi's conflict with yemen. If you have any insight I would much appreciate your opinions.
@LR786274 жыл бұрын
@@russellcampbell3639 Saudi's conflict with Yemen, in essence, is because the people of Yemen overthrew their dictator. Saudi didn't like the fact that people in the surrounding countries have a democracry. They were scared that the saudi people might learn from the people of Yemen and also try to overthrow their dictatorship. So Saudi, in response, bombed Yemen so heavily that 80% of the population is now in need of humanitarian aid. Basically, Saudi are enemies of anyone who wants freedom in their life, and Yemen is still in ruins. This is mainly becuase of Crown Prince, Mohammed Bin Salman.

@@LR78627 , do you know if the Saudis intentionally target Christian populations in Yemen?

One major factor in this rivalry is racial. The people of Saudi Arabia (as you noted in the video) are Arabs of Semitic stock. The vast majority of the people of Iran are of Indo-European stock. If I am not mistaken, Iranians,as well as Turks, are known to look down on Arabs. This is something that was well ingrained well before the onset of Islam. That is human nature for you.

+Badir al-itaibi Turks were never slaves to arabs, but arabs were slaves of turks. Ottoman empire conquered arab and north african lands for a total of 1500 years. Iranians were conquered by arabs for 170 years but arabs were conquered by Iranians for 800 years lol.
