Know the really story first before you publish it brother. Bin salman had the courage to do what no other king dared to do by not relying on oil to fund what Saudi Arabia needs (change for modernism) AT THE EXPENSE OF HIS RELATIVES, as he did with Aramco. Great changes have already been made since he held his position. And regarding the war on Yemen, it was inevitable, if he didn't act as fast as he did the Hothies in Yemen would have invaded Saudi by now (and yes casualties happened, Name one one war that didn't have any casualty?)

This step is hugely important for the country, to have such a young perspective king. The record the world has had of Mohammad Bin Salman over the last two years gives a lot of hope for people. He's liberal, hardworking and industrious, he really wants to get things done. Maybe it's the right to time to give him the official title.

If i was a betting man i would take you up on that offer because i bleave u are channeling the fears of the guy you have as your profile picture. And the reason i would win that bet is because in most developed and semi developed countries majority of events take place not far from the middle of the spectrum. True there might be few blips and anomalies here and there but once the dust settles the pendulum always swings back to the middle. After the party who kicked up the dust is made to see reason. And whoever is most adapt at using the calculator mostly always picks the right numbers. To much division and u always end up with 0 allies and alot of enemies with zeros in there pockets to occupy the themselves with . to much plus and you end up with to many variables with unknown and conflicting interest.

I've been searching for an alternative look on 4th generation fission possible consequences for quite a while now. I'm talking about MSR in general and thorium-uranium hybrid reactors in particular. Those reactors are supposedly designed to be "stupid proof", which puts nuclear energy (and synthetic fuels) back on the table as abundant and reliable energy source for the future (far more abundant and far more reliable than natural hydrocarbons and renewables). As I see it, nuclear power is the only currently existing source of energy that has a capacity of taking the Indo Chinese utility test to lift the majority of the populace of those countries out of nigh medival poverty. Because no fossil hydrocarbons, nor sloar\wind renewables, - sure as hell, - will ever be able to accomplish that. P.S. And the implications of the 4th gen high temperature MSR reactors are so radically different from light water reactors we have today - it's a paradigm shift (if you believe the advocates that is). Cheap high-temperature chemistry alone would affect everything that requires fuel to work - and the countries that rely on fossils to exist.

I think the king decided to leave a legacy and he feels that his younger son is a promising king. +Cypher Caliban Saudi Arabian here, it's because who ever is king or will be king, the government has always and will always help the citizen with its best to be happy and specially in terms of financial reasons. Consequently, the saudi society (almost as a whole + including me) is happy with the government and the way it works, and it's also the reason why we don't have multipile politicle parties, we're all united under the name of our king so there's nothing to fight over. Not to say that our government is perfect or that they don't spread propaganda (which like any monarchy, they do) the average citizen is not brainwashed, he/she is seeing that opportunities are equally given to all aspects of our society and that things in general are good and getting better.

Saudi Crown Prince Boasted That Jared Kushner Was “In His Pocket” Until he was stripped of his top-secret security clearance in February, presidential adviser Jared Kushner was known around the White House as one of the most voracious readers of the President’s Daily Brief, a highly classified rundown of the latest intelligence intended only for the president and his closest advisers. Kushner, who had been tasked with bringing about a deal between Israel and Palestine, was particularly engaged by information about the Middle East, according to a former White House official and a former U.S. intelligence professional. In June, Saudi prince Mohammed bin Salman ousted his cousin, then-Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, and took his place as next in line to the throne, upending the established line of succession. In the months that followed, the President’s Daily Brief contained information on Saudi Arabia’s evolving political situation, including a handful of names of royal family members opposed to the crown prince’s power grab, according to the former White House official and two U.S. government officials with knowledge of the report. Like many others interviewed for this story, they declined to be identified because they were not authorized to speak about sensitive matters to the press. In late October, Jared Kushner made an unannounced trip to Riyadh, catching some intelligence officials off guard. “The two princes are said to have stayed up until nearly 4 a.m. several nights, swapping stories and planning strategy”

The Saudi King has big plans for the future. He wants to move away from oil dependence and said," young Saudis and the promotion of moderate Islam were the key to his modernising “dream” for his country. For "moderate Islam" read no Islam. He can see that Islam has held back the whole Muslim world for centuries.

Saudi monarchy wants to remain a strategic relationship with US. HOWEVER, as US becomes an oil exporter, and electricity is increasingly made from renewable energy, the United States is going to care less and less about what happens there. Arabia's role as the world's gas station will come to an end in thirty years, I think. This is inevitable and unavoidable. I doubt the Saudi monarchy will be able to cope. It will end, as other monarchies ended when faced with the modern world.

He is a Super Hero in terms of managing all these positions that he holds if the day =24Hrs. 3. He is not Human but some extra terrisitrial creature such as a Jinn or some Alien. 4. He is highly corrupt just like his Family and they want to keep the Power within the hold of their Family. I am sure Most of you will find the Point 4 highly realistic and that which makes sense.
