I feel bad for the players that didn't get the Switchblade x9. The main reason a lot of players didn't get this gun is because of people who said it was a bad gun. I didn't care for that, I was gonna use it anyway. It's a briefcase gun and I thought it was cool! I worked hard for it, and I used it as my main SMG before any of the buffs. EDIT: Turns out the Switchblade was the first SMG I had gold on, not the Daemon... huh.

@@marshallfrank1996 Yeah... ikr? Blackout in my opinion was a mistake. COD was never meant to be a 100 man/woman battle royal game. That stuff is best left to franchises that were made to be so, like Fortnite and Apex Legends. The only time I actually enjoyed Blackout was when I was able to respawn in DBNO and the Alcatraz Island modes. It makes things exciting. Every other time it was just mind-numbingly boring or downright frustrating... And I also feel bad for PC gamers that practically have a dead $60 game, since you mentioned it. Maybe if Blackout was like a 50v50 team death match with squads like Battlefield, then I'd play it more often. That or if they straight up replaced it with a good campaign, possibly featuring all of the specialists and not what we got with... what was it called again? Meh, I can't remember... Point is, battle royal and COD doesn't mix, in my opinion. If anyone else reading this comment enjoy that, then I'm glad it's working out for ya...

@@shieldbreaker_1839 I agree, blackout was never really gonna work. I think maybe a 20 person br could be fun in cod on a smaller map, but blackout in it's current form is just anti fun. Every time I've tried to play I end up getting sniped from the top of a skyscraper or behind a rock. I bought the pass for the zombies maps, and I have been having fun when a new map comes out, but I've always loved cod multiplayer and i wish they could've gotten this one right to some extent. It sucks cause i like some of the aspects of the multiplayer, but its definately no secret that they've put very little effort into the game besides blackout

I think that the Switchblade X9 is better mainly for aggressive players, also I think the fact that it was a pretty lack lust SMG before the operation ended and then got a buff literally as soon as Grand Heist ended was planned just so Treyarch could get more money by people buying reserves and hoping to get the Switchblade. I was fortunate enough to get it because I play about an hour or two a day in order to get a win for my tier skip and to progress my tier by one.

Personally i prefer the cordite as i can spray with the large ammo count and the bullets to kill being high i can reload less. Also I don't think it was a coincidence at all. I was having a debate with someone about this on inkslasher's video. To me they made these weapons suddenly pay to win/pay for advantage as they were not that good when available for free. Once they were locked behind reserves the daemon and switchblade became arguably the 2 best smgs and they're no longer accessible to everyone which isn't fair as they've changed the gun stats from what they were when they were free in the contraband stream.

As far as I see,SMG become quite competitive in most maps. Demon with 2 hyber and switchblade with double rapid fire are dominating. P90 and wildfire are still good. I dont know why they never buff GKS which is weak in any range and any situation.

I remember looking at the gun initially noticing that it wasnt all that powerful so I didnt try to geind for it and then now it's one of the best guns in the game and now I cant get it!? First, Ace the buff was a week before the contraband stream ended, so there was still time to get it. Secondly, the switchblade is not based on the Saug 9mm it's actually statistically based on the Coordite. At the time the switchblade launched it had the same range and damage as the Coordite. The tradeoff between the two was the Switchblade had slightly better handling and a slightly higher fire rate. However, the Coordite has more controllable recoil and a much bigger magazine. Likewise, if you check the patch notes from when it was buffed you'll notice that the Coordite had all it's ranges buffed as well. Both guns have the same exact range and damage stats to this day. It's just a matter of capacity and controllability vs handling and rate of fire.

Dual Saugs are borderline unbeatable in close quarters, Iffy at mid range but still get by just because the spread isn't awful in comparison to how fast and how many bullets are fired. If I was to run the dual saugs I'd pick up gun first chance I get to give some range and then use the saugs in close quarters.

I'd like to use the Switchblade, but unfortunately I was unable to play enough to unlock that or the shotgun. With all the junk in reserves and the small amount of time I can put in the game it is very unlikely I'll ever get to use them, unless I pay more money. I think what I paid for the game and the pass should be enough to get all the non cosmetic content for the year.

I put the time in to get the gun and got rewarded with it getting buffed, it was unusable before! The saug has been for the most part my favorite SMG but after this breakdown it has become clear which SMG I will start using more. I also didnt like them making the switchblade better than the saug after the gun had become locked away but I feel like I have the advantage now since I have the guns now. I was able to grind out 200 tiers altogether on xbox and playstation to unlock this gun because I thought that they would pull a move like this where the gun would actually be good with the right changes. Sadly I havent played the game since the last season after unlocking this gun.

I was at tier 95 of the contraband stream and after seeing a few great KZbinrs struggle to get any good gameplay with the switchblade, I gave up and never finished the tiers. The game was boring with nothing to do and the final reward was trash. But now after the buff, I feel scammed. I totally agree with your opinion about what Treyarch did. In bird culture, this is considered a dick move...

Every time I used those I dominate more with the saug, not saying the switchblade is bad. It's just I know how to use the saug a little better, using the saug I got my first nuke so yeah...

SwitchB stats are better but the saug is still the best smg. I run around dropping 30-50 kills with the saug and only using QD and stock

Idk how people do that. I'm 20 levels from 1000 and I only just started being able to go off with the Saug but even then it's still with FM, QD, and stock. Not to mention lightweight+dexterity on top of that op mess

I feel they needed to buff the switchblade. Those of us that did the grind got really disappointed when we finally had it. But with that said, I feel like guns (being such a big part of the game) should be available to everyone who bought the game. Guns should be in the blackjack store permanently, or available thru some kind of post operation grind. I'm not saying it should be easy to get the guns, as that would subtract from the people who did the grind, but in my opinion, anything that is more than just cosmetics should be available to all players who bought the game.

I completely agree with you, switchblade excels over the saug in every way apart from the handling. I just feel like im more consistent with my shots using the saug. That being said, I will still use the switchblade over the saug 9 times out of 10.

Tezza Lam switchblade has better handling too since it has 102% movement speed and 90% strafe with just stock 1 and a QD2 attachment. Pretty unfair :(

I think the switchblade has stabilizer because to get the hundred preventer you need stabilizer. This is so people who can't snipe can do it

Questions. What's the difference between the stabilizer and grip on the switchblade? Is one more useful than the other?

Stabilizer usually refers to ADS swing, the amount the gun moves on its own while aiming. Sniper sway is an example of that. Stabilizer reduces that sway. On the switch blade I'm not sure if that's the case, but it could be in an attempt to give it more range options The other thing it could be is hipfire recoil reduction which some guns have, But it's not called stabilizer to my knowledge so it's probably for just giving a bit more accuracy at range. Grip is recoil reduction while ADS, standard enough. Grip and stabilizer would probably make it the most accurate per shot but eh, I wouldn't bother with that personally. Personal choice though

I guess we all better make sure we have the TigerShark unlocked because when it gets buffed it will be at god mode status. This has nothing to do with this video, but I really don't play much of multiplayer since they have added Blackout. Once upon a time you did a video comparing the ranges and bullet drop-off of all of the guns in Blackout. Do you plan, or can you recommend someone who can, do more gun stat or gun comparisons specific to Blackout mode. The multiplayer adjustments to guns happen often and seem to have little to no correlation to how they perform in Blackout. For example, I hear all the time from other players that they feel the SWAT is so much more powerful than the ICR or the VAPR. Is this true? Coming from someone that has a lot of experience with real firearms, the differences should be negligible because they are the same caliber. Real life is different than the game, but I don't see a lot of videos comparing time to kill, ADS or other stats with weapons in Blackout. Thanks.

The switchblade would be so much more useful in competitive against Maddox’s and ICR’s on a lot of the comp maps. I ALWAYS hear Saug players complaining about the gun feeling like a pellet gun unless they have grapple, but even then...

So if the gun at tier 100 sucks, but then they give it a buff to make it good next operation it's a bad thing? But if it's op from the beginning of it's operation those who pay the $100 to skip 100 tiers gets a massive advantage over those who have to play 100 hours worth of in game play time to get it. *I think it's great how it is, you can take your time to unlock these guns; never use them (like I do) and then start using them 2/3 months later when they've made them good. If you don't play the game and don't get the gun, that's on you.* It's so much better than how we had it in bo3 where they added hundreds of great guns that you will *never* have for yourself. If you didn't buy the game at launch, that's also on you. And you probably got the game at roughly half the price I paid for it; the game is on sale for $30 now.

I feel like the power of the punch in the Saug is with its Op Mod yes its expensive but its godly to use in Objective play my go to for dom was always Saug with Op Mod & Silencer, Two Tomahawks, and Nomad

I couldn't grind hard enough for the switchblade. And didn't want to spend real money to get an inferior gun. Of course they buffed it right after. Now I will likely never get it.
