My grandmas name was also Irene. She was my hero, an absolute angel, and I miss her dearly. I would give anything to have her laugh with my wife and meet my children. This was a lovely song and brought up some wonderful memories.

Such songs as this have such beautiful imagery and simple lyrics and the melody is so sweet. An innocence I have missed in music for decades now. I love hearing traditional songs such in their native tongue. The phonics are part of the beauty. Beautifully sung and shot. Very endearing and tender.

Hey, my great grandparents came from Lithuania, too! Their Americanized name was Green. Her maiden name was Kaleida. I'm sure she would have enjoyed listening to you sing. Thank you for your emotional personal story! I know you many years and I had no Idea that you have some lithuanian origin. That's great in America we can find all the nations melted to one. I'd like to tell my own story about my grandfather Alexey. He was in Lithuania in 1944. And I want to say he was atheist all his life long. When he dead in his 93 years old in 2016 another relatives decided to make classic orthodox christian ceremony, but I tell them some antireligion jokes. They was confused but I know he was happy ho see their faces.
