ABOUT US
We are Jed and Sandy Hall, the creators of Wanderful Revolution. Jed was born in a small town on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and Sandy was born and raised in Maryland. We met in Washington State, while serving our country in the United States Navy. After separating from military service, we both went back to school and became nurses, which ultimately led to us selling our home in 2015 and hitting the road as travel nurses working in Emergency Departments throughout the USA.
During our travels, we lived in an Airstream travel trailer and made it our goal to become debt free. At the beginning of 2020, we paid off the last of our debts and quit our jobs so we could follow our long time dream of traveling the world. Of course, COVID-19 brought us to a screeching halt. So, we decided to build out a 2019 Mercedes Sprinter van, which we plan to drive on one of the longest road trips in the world: the Pan-American highway from Alaska to the tip Argentina (and possibly beyond).
We are excited and very fortunate to be able to live this amazing lifestyle! So, we want to share it with you! Join us to check out some amazing places, go on exciting adventures, eat delicious food, and perhaps learn some tips and tricks about living full-time in a van. We hope you will join us on our Wanderful Revolution! We will see you out there and we hope we inspire you to STAY WANDERFUL!!

The maritime industry and history looks super interesting and especially neat that they have the dedicated observation area for the locks!
@WanderfulRevolution

Yes! Very cool that they have the observation deck! Definitely allows you to see so much more than if you had to stand at ground level.

Thank you Dale! I really wish we remembered as this trip was some time ago… I don’t remember anything in particular being closed during summer, but if you want to watch the ships go through the lock I’d be sure to check the schedule!

The locks are way cool, and a maritime museum in a ship? Oh man, you'd have to drag me out of there, I'm so fascinated with the inner workings of big ships. And S.S.Edmund Fitzgerald... It always gives me pause for thought because a few of the youngest crew members were around my age. May they rest in peace. "The Tower of History" jingle... such a catchy tune! (Said no one ever). ;-) I'm wondering when we'll get to see Jed sorting through those mountainous piles of beets? Oh, the anticipation! Thanks for the tour! -Burt in NJ

Burt!!!! He would not stop singing that damn “Tower of History” jingle!! About drove me crazy!!! 😂🤣 He still sings it at random times! Haha! But yes! It was a very cool time and the maritime museum was our favorite part! There are definitely beets in the future! 😃

@@WanderfulRevolution I know where he's coming from. I often take random phrases, put them to music and make a happy little tune... for some reason my wife doesn't appreciate it either.

Looks like you guys are having fun there! Lock systems are pretty amazing and it's so cool to see the big ships passing through. I'd hate to be responsible for crashing into something while driving one of those! Doh! And yes, we definitely see Groot!

We’ve really had a great time in the UP! These massive ships are so impressive and you’re right! I wouldn’t want to be responsible for crashing one! 😳
