Eru is basically God, and also the Amazon TV Show is not canon, is basically a fanfic with nothing to do with Tolkien story. Sauron, Gandalf, Saruman are basically maiar (lower rank angels). But Sauron was basically the most powerfull of the Maiar.

Me and my dad did research cause we were pretty sure Sauron would win and we were right! Basicaly any mind thing the lich king could do would be bounced back. And yeah, the theoretical end of the world would bw Morgoth escaping his prison and wreaking havoc on middle-earth.

While it doesn’t change the outcome at all, it is still impressive the Lich King did so much in so little time. Sauron is definitely better, but his entire empire, everything he did, was because he played the long game. The Lich King managed to do everything Sauron did in what appears to be at most multiple decades. Sauron took thousands of years.

Arthas couldn't have won either way. Even if he could destroy Saurons physical form theres no way he could resist the Ring, meaning he could never destroy it which would cause Sauron to eventually corrupt him to his will.

So a son of a king with a random broken dwaven sword can kill Sauron but not the lich king. He can't be dominated by Saurons influence, he has the helm of domination.

@@Ayuima69 He didn't kill Sauron, in the books he doesn't do anything but cut the ring from Saurons finger after Saurons physical form was killed. Saurons physical form was cut down in an epic 2v1 battle between Gil-Galad and Elendil, the two high kings of Elves and Men, and Sauron. Sauron killed them both but his physically form died aswell, then Isildur went over to him and took the Ring. But Isildur never destroyed the ring because it tempted him too much, and he was a really good noble person before that. Now imagien Arthas, an already self-serving power hungry person with the Ring, he'd be instatly enslaved. It's more effective the more powerful a person is. The Helm of Domination lets him dominate the undead, it doesn't stop him from experiencing greed and pride. Also Narsil is not "just some dwarven sword", it was forged by one of the greatest smiths of the First Age, second only to the likes of Feanor. Not that different from the Ashrbinger, only that Tolkien was a poet with these sort of things, not a game designer, so Narsils power does not come from shooting yellow stuff at people, its power comes from the fear it causes in its enemies because of what it represents.

@@vergil8833 All that Arthas could've done to win would be to cut Sauron's finger then have Sindragosa fly the One Ring to Mt. DOOM and drop it there. That is, assuming the Eye of Acherus has enough time to figure that one out. The main advantage of the Undead Scourge is that, being mindless undead, they obey the Lich King and ONLY the Lich King, which is why they can make extensive use of Saronite without going mad(Saronite being the blood of Yogg-Saron, an Old God, and just mining it can drive someone crazy).

I’m not sure i buy this logic - by all means in Middle Earth, there are seldom few, if any, who could resist the ring… But outside of middle earth in other franchises there are PLENTY of characters with resistances to mental manipulation or with wisdom and mental fortitude that it would be simply ineffective against, because not all franchises operate by the same rules, and especially in Middle Earth, Sauron is a bit of an outlier character in a world that is, (at least in regards to how characters behave), relatively grounded.

Even a fool of a Took could see the fallacies of that show, the blatant ignorance of established lore and canon, the far to expensive CGI that somehow manages to look cheap, the characters that are either so plain as to make my oatmeal seem comparatively full of spice or written so horribly you can't help but hate them, the abhorently forced messages that are handled about as well as a toddler handles a chainsaw, the incoherent story that had been fractured into so many pieces its impossible to follow are get invested, the hiding of reveiws by Amazon and the companies attacks on those who speak out against it, the ignorance of almost every cast member as to the true nature of there character.

I noticed you talling about the show, Rings of Power. My advice is to ignore the show. Not only is it terrible by itself, but it is also incredible disrespectful to Tolkien's work. Even the Middle-Earth games were at least TRYING to stick to the lore, even if they failed. The showrunners of Rings of Power weren't even trying.

@@deathswitch2404 Youre right on the "not a full completed story" part, but the Silmarillion and some other books, collected multiple texts written by Tolkien so we get a general idea of what happened and even got some fleshed out storys. And no, Legolas riding a shield isnt canon, thats a fun little thing that Peter Jackson added, but never happened in the books. The only things that are canon, are the books written by J.R.R. Tolkien and the rest just is not.

I'd like to be the first to say that I'm a huge fan of both LOTR and WOW, and have read most of the books in those works as well. So I dare say my comment will be food for thought. Objectively, the video is wrong. 1. Sauron lost his ability to morph after losing his body. 2. His armor and weapon are formed by his will with dark magic = not on the level of ancient artifacts capable of destroying Frostmourne. Even Sauron's body is created by the will and power of the ring = No blood. 3. the Lich King wasn't just a demigod like Sauron. He was the one who killed and enslaved the ancient demigods, demons and their magic. He literally had the power to kill and enslave creatures on the level of Balrogs and Great Dragons (creations of Morgoth), which even Sauron himself feared. Sauron was not afraid to go into only one type of conflict, and that was with mortals... and he was defeated by a mortal. 4 Sauron's real power has always been his strategic skills and the power of the ring to corrupt the souls of all who were in his presence. 5. Even if he didn't have the Eye of Acherus, the Lich King would have found out rather quickly during the duel what Sauron drew his power from. Bottom line, confirmed. This video is nicely done, but incredibly flawed done by people who may have had some sort of poll on Discord. The video would really make it look like there were 2 fights in reality. The first duel where the Lich King would cut off the ring of power. Sauron would have counted on that, like the good strategist he always was.He was counting on the Lich King taking the Ring and deploying it to usurp the new power, at which point he would usurp the Lich King and all his power. BUT Sauron wouldn't know that the Lich King had already experienced a battle of wills in such a powerful artifact. And that was when he, as Arthas, killed the soul of Ner'zhul (Lich King) while passing the power of the crown, which took 10 years. Thus, he would master the power of the ring and become an invincible force. P.S. There is much more power hidden in the Crown than in the Ring, which can be seen in the amount of destruction it will bring. After the Ring is destroyed, a volcano erupts and an earthquake destroys most of the army of Mordor. When the Lich King's crown is destroyed, the very fabric of reality is destroyed, breaking the barrier between the world of the living and the world of the dead. This comparison of power is legitimate, just as we can compare the size and mass of stars and the effects of their supernovae. The ring - a big supernova. The Crown - a giant supernova that went into a black hole. PS2: Here we are only talking about a 1v1 combat. In the context of armies, Sauron wouldn't stand a chance (LOTR 3 ghosts, imagine...). And even if Sauron had legions of Nazgholes, the Lich King would have no problem binding them to his will. Game, set and match - Lich King wins
