I tried this recipe tonight. Two packages of fresh sausage (5 each), one large white onion, 3 peppers and garlic. Too lazy to crush my own tomatoes so I used a can of diced tomatoes with basil and oregano and added a small can of tomato paste. I followed the cooking directions thoroughly including two pinches of salt. I didn't like the outcome, I LOVED IT!!!!!!! I just need an extra pinch of salt. I'll be making this for some time to come. THANKS!!!

Ci Pasquale, I have to say your instructions are same as my family back in Youngstown Ohio so long ago. To pre boil shortly and allow to cool does make the difference in this dish. Dry sausage is terrible to chew and is just too dry. This stays so juicy. Thank you Ci for doing this. Raymond in Mystic CT
