THIS is the kind of music the Swahili music industry needs!! From an African American who's learning Swahili, I feel like the artists these days use WAY too much auto tune for me to enjoy, especially in Tanzania(no attack, I love the country). There's definitely a lot of talent in East Africa, but everyone's natural singing talent is covered by these auto tune voices. For example, diamond platnumz dancing and beats is on point, but I feel like I'm listening to a robot singing with artists like them, and just don't enjoy those songs. Maybe that's just what people over there enjoy? I don't know. Anyway, I love Sauti Sol and this album is Amazing, day 1 purchase for me!
@charleschacha68764 жыл бұрын
Irony is that Kenyans have an almost 100% support for Diamond's autotune, but only a few of us know and rate Sauti Sol higher than most of these showbiz wannabes.

it's not only just a heartbreak song but a song about a bitter divorce, the tearing up of familial ties and the spite and hate that comes after it. lawyers getting involved and a parent being denied access to their children,the public shaming of each other online and in gatherings, the in-laws showing one contempt publicly ,elders getting involved etc

This song made me purchase a 9.1 channel 1500 watts genuine JBL soundbar, with surround sound and Dolby Atmos, worth Ksh 165,000. I really wanted to listen to each and every string, bass and the vocals at the highest quality possible. I can confirm to all of you who are using earphones that this is indeed a master piece.

A small kindness for international Sauti Sol fans & lovers of good music 😊 Enjoy this wholesome African music. We are one 🌹 Lyrics & Translation: Verse 1. Umetuma wazazi wako waje wanielezee ×2 (You have sent your parents to come and explain to me ×2) hunitaki tena (you don't want me anymore) Na mashoga zako waje waniambie (And your girlfriends to come and tell me) ndoa tumeivunja (we have broken our marriage) Siamini kuna time singeishi bila wewe (I cannot believe there was a time I could not live without you) mapenzi ya kukata na shoka eeh eeh ("a love of cutting with an axe eeh eeh" meaning a beautiful romance) Yashamwagika hayazoleki haya o ("It has already poured, it won't go back" is a Swahili expression usually referring to water pouring that means that what has happened cannot be undone) basi nenda lote mama (in that case, go all the way mama) Chorus. Mpenzi unaenda (My love, you are going/leaving) nilikuenzi kinoma noma (I treasured you like crazy) Yashamwagika hayazoleki haya o (It has already poured, it cannot go back haya o) Nenda lote mama (Go all the way mama) Verse 2. Ukatuma laywer wako aje anisomee ×2 (You sent your lawyer to come and read to me ×2) kuwa watoto ulonizalia eeh ×2 (that the children you bore me eeh ×2) sitawaona tena (I will never see them again) Siamini kuna time tuliapa hadharani (I cannot believe there was a time we swore in public) kanisani kwa chanda na pete eeh (in church with wedding finger and ring eeh) Yashamwagika hayazoleki haya o (It has already poured, it won't go back haya o) Nenda lote mama (Go all the way mama) Chorus. Guitar section 😝 Verse 3. Ukatuma pastor wako aje anikemee ×2 (You sent your pastor to come and rebuke me ×2) na madeni zangu ukazitangaza eeh ×2 (and my debts, you announced them eeh ×2) mitandaoni. (on social media.) Shemeji zangu ndugu zako tukionana (My uncles your siblings when we meet them) waambie sisi bado rafiki eeh (tell them we are still friends eeh) Wasinipite barabarani mama o (They shouldn't pass me on the street mama o) Umeenda lote mama (You have gone all the way mama) Chorus. Mama, Mama (Woman, Woman) Nenda lote mama (Go all the way mama)
