A client that I've done video work for asked me about having some photos done as well. Then she told me one of them would be featured on a billboard #mademenervous
So I looked into studio rentals and realized the smarter play was to buy my own little studio and use it when and wherever the heck I want. This video is basically a summary of the gear, the technique, and the results I got. I don't fancy myself much of a photographer, but I'll let you guys decide once you see the photos.

Very nice informative video. Question: what color backdrop would you suggest for someone using ambient Lights? I was thing of a grey like what you have or a white or black. I'm just trying to create a warm softly lit background for making my bass cover video.

Do you still recommend the backdrop stand, I’m finding it hard to select one on Amazon. I intend using the savage paper 107wd paper drop, so I don’t want the backdrop stand to be wobbly. Looking forward to your response. Thanks

I do still think it's good! I'm sure you could spend more and find something even sturdier, but if you set these up right I don' think you'll have a problem. I've had the bar extended all the way up and didn't feel like it was going to topple. You can always get cheap sand bags or weights to place on the bottom of the stands (this is what they do in Hollywood) if you want them really rock solid. Thanks for stopping by! Best of luck!

You totally could. For photos though it's a little more difficult to filter out the green light that spills onto the subject. I just prefer to use the real white paper instead.
