Have you ever done Conquer the Quantlet peg board? I have the same issue with my left shoulder as you described in one of your videos that I watched. Hanging straight down hurts. I do L form for most obstacles. I have failed on that particular obstacle three different races. It is the only obstacle, so far in all the obstacle course races I have run over the years that I have not yet conquered.
