the story of Powerwolf is that they're Catholic vampiric werewolves, seeking redemption from God, because of their brutal and cursed nature. they seek redemption in the slaughter (and cannibalistic consumption) of sinners, dissenters, heretics, etc. Through their actions, they redeem themselves in the eyes of God, and thus, are holy.

Twas taken from a story long ago. 1692 if you are wondering They entered into Hell, where they battled both the Devil and the malevolent witches who were loyal to him, beating them with long iron rods and chasing them like dogs. Thiess furthermore told the judges that the werewolves "cannot tolerate the devil", and that they were the "hounds of God". The battle will continue as long as humans exist.
