From 0:06 to 0:16 , this is why I find basketball culture a little extra sometimes. 5:40 aswell. I play it with my friends and they know all the terms and ways to react to certain plays, and it's whatever I guess, it's entertaining, but alot of it is forced and over the top. Like my friends if someone makes a nice play, they'll like pretend to fall over and pass out. The amount of times I hear "AND ONE!" is insane, or "You reach, I teach", or "Step up" and stuff like that. Alot of repeated lingo. There's also the typical one reaction where one guy on the sidelines falls into another guy after a good basket and does the "Keep me up, I'm about to pass out" thing, acting like he's in legit shock of what he just saw. I hear "Kobe!" alot, but everyone knows that one. Sometimes if they don't pretend to fall over after a good basket, they'll walk away from the court for like 15 seconds. Twice one of my friends decided to actually take his ball and go back to his car and drive off, to make it funny. I can tolerate all of it, it's basketball culture, I just find its kind of over the top or extra, like people need to over react to make the certain dynamics in the game seem more like a big thing that just happened.

Half court shots are still amazing! They can duck the life out of the opposing team. In my opinion,unlike back in the day, half court shots are more common in the NBA now and are practiced more by players. I also believe they should be 4pts like at All-Star game.

Unless something new has transpired here that I'm unaware of, Jerry Harkness has the longest made field goal in NBA/ABA history which was ruled good. On November 13, 1967, in an ABA game between the Pacers and Chapperels in Dallas, Harkness took the ball from just inside the baseline and BANKED IN a 92-foot hook shot. Initially, everyone thought an overtime session was upon arrival, since the that was the ABA's initial season, and the NBA didn't institute the 3pt line just yet, even Harkness himself wasn't aware of it until the official, Joe Belmont, approached him and said "Jerry, it's over. That was a 3 pointer." From Loose Balls p. 72
